  1. That looks great Mark.
  2. The Valspar gold comes from Lowe's. The chassis grey color is a custom mix that I had made here locally and is color matched from the actual color used by most teams.
  3. Thanks. The wheels are merely stuck underneath right now. The suspension hasn't been completed yet.
  4. Lookin good Brett.
  5. Decals are all done and looking pretty good. Now it's time to continue on the paint and assembly.
  6. Was finally able to get a little bench time this evening and got some more done to the Zombie Cruiser. Added bracing the drivers side window and working on the turret hatch detail as well.
  7. Bart, you are rather quick to dismiss any other bodies of not being accurate. Even though what I see with the one available body from TDR and it's superb level of accuracy I must say that even though TEM is no longer in business I took great pride (and time) to ensure that any body I created as a replica of a real body was as acurate as possible. I have to agree that most of the bodies that Flashpoint has created miss the boat to a certain degree. They do have some phantom bodies that don't have any measureable data to compare to but the bodies that they claim mimic this builder or that builder do fall short in accuracy. That being said, they are the only mass producer of resin bodies and will continue to sell their product until someone better comes along. By the way, what is the going rate of the TDR 69 Camaro, as I couldn't find any pricing info. on their website?
  8. Excellent work Daryl. The finished product came out great.
  9. February 1st was the date they made the official announcement and yes, it is a big hit to the hobby as a whole.
  10. Very nice clean build. Black cars are always hard to pull off and this one lokks great.
  11. Here is another quick update. Started on the decals and they are going on great. I also robbed some older chrome plated wheels from an older Monogram kit to use as the silver painted wheels that were on the real car.
  12. I was asking what TDR/Shapeways was but I did a search and found the site. Thanks.
  13. Yeah Mark those are two excellent looking builds. I would also love to hear more about the decals and if you are willing to make added sets. I was also waiting patiently for the Mcewen decals to now not have them coming.
  14. The red car was at times a bright red and also it was a candy apple red. There is too much blue to white fade on the side panels on the Slixx sheet. Other than that they are pretty accurate. Build looks good so far Brett.
  15. The paint is from Valspar.
  16. In the spirit of the Nascar season getting ready to start back up I felt the need to get started on another out of the box Nascar build. As Bill Elliott has always been one of, if not my all time favorite driver, I decided to go ahead and start on his Chevy M/C Burger King ride from a couple of years back. The basic kit is a Revell 2006-07 Monte Carlo kit, being built straight out of the box, along with Powerslide decals. So far I have the body painted, although the gold paint pulled the front fenders seam lines back out, even after I had sanded them down smooth. I need to analyze whether or not all of the decals will cover the area or if I have to go back and do some added sanding to get rid of them. The chassis is also started and painted chassis grey. That's where I'm at for now.
  17. Looks like a pretty awesome build to me.
  18. Hey Virgil, my shirt arrived today and it's too cool.
  19. Updates look good. Nice clean detail on the sratchbuilt items.
  20. Bandit Resins has the fenderwell headers for that era Mopar.
  21. Virgil, thanks for the update on the t-shirts. I can't wait to get mine. Michael's has a 50% coupon that's good starting tommorrow so I'm going to pick up some of the Fantastic Finshes product to create some rust effects.
  22. I was wondering when the next new project was going to show up. The stance looks perfect. I'm a Mopar guy but this body style just looks awesome done up like this. That's why I have one of these kits to do this too somewhere down the road.
  23. Yeah Jeff, that's some real good progress on this one.
  24. Awesome job Roger. Each new build just gets better and better.
