Ollie's strike again
Tom Geiger replied to GLMFAA1's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
I just saw an Ollie’s coupon for 15% off your entire order. Not sure if still valid -

From the seller side.. Yes! Non-payer offers is a problem on eBay. A big enough problem that I don’t accept offers. Also, I get several non paying bidders every month. Last one bid on and won 14 items. In seller circles they are happy.

Ollie's strike again
Tom Geiger replied to GLMFAA1's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Stopped in the Pottstown PA Ollie’s yesterday. They had a few of the Coke trailers, Monopoly 34 Willys van snappers and a couple D50s. Left empty handed. -

What did you see on the road today?
Tom Geiger replied to Harry P.'s topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
not exactly on the street but I was at America on Wheels Museum in Allentown PA yesterday for the Halloween Bash Model Car Show. I’d never seen a Trabbie i person before! -

I sanded out and polished a bunch of glue marks and scuffs. The paint job is just rattle cans without primer. I redid some BMF. It was just fun to see how much I could repair. And nice enough for the shelf

Not a monumental accomplishment but the only thing off my bench this year. I bought this 57 from a junk box at GSL this year. It was missing bumpers, suspension broken, and body marred and chrome trim done poorly. I originally bought two 57 Fords for parts but liked the colors on this one, so I started playing with it. Soon enough it awakened. Not a superb model but looks good in my lineup of 57 Fords. Save!

Getting more and more in the stash

Oops! I forgot! This is one of the restorable built ups I got at GSL for $5 each. It was messy and missing both bumpers and front suspension. Not a super build but I liked the color scheme and it looks good in my 57 Ford lineup -
“Market Price” is what the menu listed for lobster, and most recently for wings, and I never ask the price because I’m not worthy.

What sucked today? I went to Al Raab’s memorial service. He was a friend for 35 years, a founding member of our club and instrumental at NNL East. A talented builder and caster. At our club meeting last month, he had just gotten LASIK surgery and wasn’t wearing glasses. We talked about retirement and he was looking forward to resin casting the 3D printed bodies he designed. And now it’s done. RIP my friend.

Getting more and more in the stash

This year I’ve only bought a few kits at shows, some old restorable built ups at GSL and 2 3D printed kits on eBay. I haven’t touched anything since the 24 HR Build, it was a crazy year for me! In the past few years I’d been concentrating on my unfinished pile.. actually neatly lined up on the shelf over my bench. -

The Lindberg slant six is the best one ever done. Way back, Hobby Heaven had a sale and I bought a case! Set for life. -
