  1. Critical thinking Is not common these days
  2. The official NNL East Model Car Duster! And below it is our scale ruler we designed and had printed. My main display case. A huge 8 foot tall China cabinet, I’m fortunate to have high ceilings! I got the cabinet for less than $200 delivered. When I ran out of space I added glass shelves between each of the original shelves. These are the glass shelves I added. Had them cut at a local glass shop. I installed them. The cabinet had a mirror back I didn’t like so the wood you see is just heavy paper. I got the roll of it at Michael’s.
  3. And a minute later some lady in an SUV will park mere inches away! ?
  4. Another happy customer! I bought his 78 Corolla Deluxe wagon to build an old car of mine. I’m about to buy his. Volare wagon. Great product, delivered faster than I had anticipated.
  5. Morning does come quickly in that situation!
  6. My fix for this is to BMF the clear red part, then Sharpie or paint the lenses.
  7. During Covid I had all the time in the world to build models. At first it was delightful, but after a while the thrill wore off. Finished models were coming too quick and easy. It was never a big event to actually finish one! And sitting down every morning at the bench for the day made it feel like work!
  8. Odds are that the kit you just spent $300 on will now be reissued within the year!
  9. This is waaay too cool! I started playing with one of these maybe a dozen years ago. I was looking at the 60s Continental chassis. My project never went anywhere. Glad to see you doing this, I'm following!
  10. For me it has to be 1/24 or 1/25 scale. I look for cars and light commercial that aren’t done in kit form. And I’m always up for a year down and rebuild!
  11. I haven’t worked at my bench since the 24 Hour Build in January. I got busy at work, NNL East was coming and I had family and house things to do too! I had purchased an old built up 57 Ford at a show that wasn’t a bad car and the engine was even wired. It was missing the front bumper and grille. I spent a wee bit of time installing new from my parts box. That broke the curse so I may build a little this weekend.
  12. Days spent building models surely beat days spent at work
  13. “Cars” was probably my first word as I have been mesmerized with them since I was a wee fellow
  14. Just some random stuff I had on my phone…
  15. Since we have taken the thread to show and tell! Here are mine. Both started as junkers. Green one has a V8 and is 2WD.
  16. “grows weed!”, was the answer I got when I asked my friend’s daughter what her boyfriend did for a living
  17. My wife had a 74 Coupe when I met her. Yellow with black vinyl top, V6 car. It was a nice little runner!
  18. The Tri-State Scale Model Car Club and NNL East sites get emails about female models all the time. I’ve even had phone calls from ladies hoping to enter their daughters in our modeling contest!
  19. I was challenged by my tuner building friends to build something Japanese for a theme. This was my response!
  20. i just found this thread and wasn’t sure if anyone posted photos of a first issue kit. Here’s my original that some kid built. He was way ahead of his time with the flat finish
  21. I like your version better too! It’s your model, create the image that’s in your head!
