Kit Carson received little formal education and remained nearly illiterate his entire life, so kit directions would have been useless!

How To Use BMF For Masking?
Tom Geiger replied to oldcarfan's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
I stopped using it for that reason. Now I use Tamiya Tape for the fine work. Put it on just like you would BMF, work it into the seam and then cut with xacto. It works much better -
Interesting thing about that kit is that you can build a stock VW and still have a complete dragster chassis. I was thinking of using it on a Dauphine body I have. And that was the last run of the old IMC VW! No telling what happened to the tooling after that!

r Not sure... this is the one I have in 1/32 scale. Always said, "Johan tooled from factory blueprints, Premiere tooled from memory!"

I have the Premier Falcon. Aside from the fact that it's too short, too narrow and too tall it's a perfect replica of a Falcon! ?

Oh yeah! I rented a truck to get everything moved to and from NNL East this year. U-Haul still advertises $19.99 a day, but they get $1.89 a mile! That's when I realized I had already $20 in miles just getting the truck from their lot to my house! I asked for a van and wound up with a clapped out 150,000 mile GMC 10' box truck. The darn thing shook on the turnpike, and it was a 2 1/2 hour ride each way. Not fun. The passenger door popped open whenever I hit a good size bump. I had no passenger so I tied the seat belt to it. It was missing the driver's side sun visor. All in all like borrowing your poor cousin's truck! The fun part was returning it Sunday morning. When I got there at 8:45am, there was a lot full of people. Seems the guys who were to open up never did show up! There were folks with express pickup, but there were other trucks in front of theirs! There was a couple who needed to be out of an apartment that day! I left the keys and a note in their drop off box. They finally logged my truck in at 12:30pm and tried to charge me for an extra day. Never again! -

I bought it new in spring of 1992. Best $10,500 I ever spent! ? -
Just looking at your photo above, I believe the firewall may be the culprit. I will find out soon enough as I have one of these on the bench!

Have to pull it out of garage this weekend. I now work six miles from home so I may use it all summer -
build quality of the AMT Dodge D50?
Tom Geiger replied to MrMiles's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
Back to the original topic.. yes I’d say it’s a nice kit. Full detail with all separate chassis and drivetrain parts. Engine has both stock and Turbo versions. It goes together well for an enjoyable build. The kit has been reissued enough times that you should be able to find one cheap on eBay, it’s been a $5-10 kit at shows. I bought several that way. Now the evil ? thoughts.. that chassis fits under a 40 Ford sedan delivery like it was made for it. I am planning on using the turbo version under some sort of street rod and I know I’m not the first to do it! -
One tip- pre wire your distributor or buy one already wired. Drill holes clear into your engine where the plugs are. That way you can feed as much wire as needed into the block, rather than risk cutting wires too short. Once I have my wire where it looks right, pull it out slightly, apply your glue and push it back in. Hold it until dry so it doesn’t pop back out on you

Something went wrong there! I couldn’t edit or add text to the two posts! My rarest model is probably the rarest Mopar promo.. the 1966 Valiant Signet.
