Eastern Pennsylvania - We are near the epicenter of NY / NJ that have been hard hit. Right now in our county we have 658 cases and 25 deaths. So cases are only .001% of our population. Still, we are on lock down. I've only been out the past few weeks for groceries and beer. Pennsylvania reports the testing and the good news is that less than 24% of tests are positive. Here is our beer store. They have two doors, and have both blocked as service windows. The door on the right is where the clerk is behind plexiglass and you can only pay with a credit or debit card. They are not handling cash. The card reader is on our side of the glass and clerk tells you to sign the screen with the corner of your card. Window two is where your beer is delivered. Clerk is inside and your beer comes down a roller ramp. No contact. We are getting mail every two days. Our local post office is closed. One of the window clerks died from Coronavirus. Grocery store was out of ribs and fresh wings and I wanted to grill something just to cheer us up. They had fresh legs, so I bought the big pack and we had Buffalo Chicken Legs. Actually better than wings because there's more meat on a leg!

Absolutely! Before truth in advertising! I remember a military transport plane that came full of tanks, trucks and soldiers. In the TV commercial the stuff marched out of the plane in formation! In reality it was just green army men quality junk that did absolutely nothing. In that same vein was Kennedy Airport. In the commercial it seemed kids were running a busy airport. In reality it was a tower with a small record player in it with one small record of tower calls. The runways were a board game board with plastic airplanes.

I had Mr Kelly’s Car Wash. I remember wanting it for my birthday because I thought I could wash all my Matchbox cars. I was bummed when I discovered only the two cars that came with it worked! That thrill lasted all of five minutes!

I have two of this kit and agree it does look like some sort of AMC concept vehicle but nobody could identify it when I asked same question years ago. Or MPC was just looking to put out a quick cheap snap kit without paying any royalties. I believe it was only issued once. I bought it to be part of my Jeep / dune buggy collection and was looking at building a detailed model out of it with a better interior and engine bay. The engine bay is a one piece insert like on a cheap diecast, interior has big flat parts lacking any real definition, and if I remember correctly, no inside door panels. I was toying with the Jeepster kit as the donor. The other thing that bothered me was the lack of rear window so I cut one into mine. Very cool build and idea! I’m surprised we don’t see these South American varieties at US car shows. Not that big a distance to import them, and they’re all old enough

1991 Geo Tracker 4x4 convertible, bought it new. Still tucked away in garage. 2006 PT Cruiser Turbo GT convertible. Had it running this week, next warm day I’ll drop the top and go for a ride!

Unless you have opened up the trunk you may want to pop out and save the battery and fuel tank. Once you’ve put your seat in they are sealed in from view. I’ve saved mine and used them in builds where they are very visible since they are so well done! i have a feeling they were tooled up for a future version of the kit, that may have been squashed by the turmoil at Revell.

I ordered necessary supplies from an eBay vendor in New Jersey. I basically searched for a vendor who had the things I needed.... glue, putty, accelerator... at reasonable prices without excessive shipping charges. I ordered on Thursday afternoon and it arrived here in Pennsylvania on Saturday. Easy peasy!

Placed order on eBay on Thursday afternoon, arrived today! I was nursing my last drops of glue and accelerator, and my putty had gone hard so I’m back in business! Ordered from a small dealer in NJ whose prices and shipping weren’t high and close to PA.

Someone on another board asked for suggestions on detailing the lights. The front corner lights are also white so my approach works for both. I would cover them with BMF and then a white wash so that the detail is still metallic. Once dry, give them a coat of canopy cement for depth.
