  1. My old build, if you're interested: http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/topic/159755-mon-124-dodge-super-bee/#comment-2370717
  2. Your second pic shows what I was referring to, the kit sets the wheels a little too far to the rear. I think I just shaved a little from the front of the spring, and maybe redid the front perch. The real deal:
  3. Irritating ain't it?! Once you learn that, it's absolutely maddening! This would be a great project for some good soul with a 3D printer: new door panels, seats, dash, console, and steering wheel.
  4. What he said. The AMT is a nice accurate body, but it shows its age in that it has a very simplified chassis plate that irks some builders, and it has the old typical convertible interior tub. Really comes down to what's important to you. For a curbside build, the AMT holds its own, but for fully detailed inside and out, top to bottom, you'll like the Revell.
  5. Ooooooo. I want that 57 SO bad. More and more I find myself drawn to the 4-door hardtop body styles. That Olds and the '56 Chevy wear the 4-door hardtop style splendidly. Congrats on that score!
  6. Nice looking build of a Tom Daniel classic. Looks really sharp in black! Don't you love the rear "suspension" on these?!
  7. Excellent color combo. Nice one.
  8. Nicely done, and what a beautiful shade of red!
  9. Great choice of color. This car, in spite of its size, has a real "muscle car" look about it, and the stance you've given yours enhances that vibe! Really well done.
  10. Such a subtle color, and yet such an attractive car/model! Well done!
  11. Good looking build of a much-maligned kit. Did you fold the wings yourself, or was that an option of this kit? I'm betting on you...
  12. Nice model. Your choice of color really works well on the old Chevy, and Cragars always look good to me!
  13. Nice work, and looks great in silver!
  14. Crazzzy!! Never seen that before. Kinda looks like someone slapped a T-bird roof on Cushenbery's Silhouette!! I'm digging it.
  15. Amt 70 Impala, 67 Impala, 66 or 70 Wildcat, Revell 65 and 66 Impala. Lots of big body kits close enough, not a lot changed under the bottom, just details like exhaust type, routing, etc.
  16. Why? It's a CUSTOM! You could back fit a dash from the much crisper AMT '62 T-bird, or go full custom and use the custom podded dash from AMT's 58 Impala, or whatever else suits your vision...
  17. Sharp car, that blue looks really good on there!
  18. That interior really is nicely detailed! Sharp build.
  19. I've built this one and the Monogram 70 Roadrunner, and one had the problem more so than the other, and I'm pretty sure it was this one. Still some of my favorite kits to build.
  20. Your words!? That grille is going to look good once a black wash hits it.
  21. Good start. These kits build up nicely, but do watch the front-to-rear spacing of the wheels within the wheel wells. I recall having to tweak the fit just a bit to get them properly centered.
  22. Welcome to the forum, Jeff!
  23. Lookin' good in red, and that engine bay is especially well done.
