  1. Excellent treatment of an older kit. Very well done.
  2. Now they look right! Also, you get bonus points for using the correct font on "Hooker Headers".
  3. My uncle had one, hated the color, and had his brother spray it beige/tan! Looked OK, with the black vinyl top and all, but there was nothing wrong with the bright green! I loved it.
  4. Very nice work. What color have you landed on? These bodies look good in just about anything you sling at them.
  5. Red interior is nice and clean. Looking good!
  6. Apparently it's been sitting in the bushes for awhile, I'm surprised the roll back mechanisms aren't rusted firm! Love it. Very authentic weathering, the rust on the bed is phenomenal, and that front bumper just feels heavy! Nice work, the toy is officially a MODEL, sir.
  7. Very wicked looking street machine there. I share your appreciation of the body style and of Monogram models!
  8. Fun to see what you may do with this one. I've had one in the stash for some time now. I thought about setting it on a Mysterion chassis, but haven't given a lot of thought yet, too many other projects ahead of that!
  9. Traditional-ish black and white 2-tone interior would seem appropriate. Black carpets, white seats with black pleated inserts, similar door panels. (?) A deep oxblood red could be snazzy, too!
  10. Takes talent to make happy accidents; most folks just make the regular kind.

    1965 Impala

Nice '65 model. Don't they look great red?!
  12. LOVE the big early 60s GM cars; sedans, hardtops, wagons, ALL! This is a particularly nice looking wagon, owing as much to the tasteful blue color as Chevy's oh-so-cool body styling. Digging everything about this one. SO well done.
  13. With a metalflake paint job, that would be right at home on the cover of one of the old custom car mags of the 50s and 60s; the "little pages"!
  14. Interesting parts in these kits, but I don't see paying what kits are bringing these days for this particular one.
  15. Phenomenal work. Very interesting process, very cool car!
  16. Body work is looking GOOD.
  17. Nothing wrong with 2k if you have the necessary safety equipment. I'd use 2k from the primer/sealer coat all the way through the process. Test spray the back side of a piece to insure compatibility. IF it's resin, you should have no problems. Is it even painted now, or just molded in color? Your close up pictures make it look translucent and not very black at all, almost like MAYBE just a shiny clearcoat over black-ish resin. Do keep us posted, I'm curious to see how it goes!
  18. It could make a decent dash mounted tach, if we are looking at the back side and flat mounting base! Is there any detail on the front (other) side?
  19. https://ecsvr.com/cpr/shopexd.asp?id=409 He calls them 1/25, but they appear to be exact copies of the old 1/24 Monogram bits. Likely close enough either way.
  20. I love this car. Very unexpected for the style, and it makes it a real standout. Love the simplicity and the impact it creates. I would probably gone without the billet accessories under the hood even. Still very cool.
  21. Cool look for a Manx! Nicely done.
  22. So much fun to see your build come together, and very informative! Great looking rod you've created.
  23. Great use of the snapper! This looks familiar; was it featured in one of your how-to books?
