Very nice, and absolutely has the right look! Well done.
  2. I recall a review when the kit first came out that mentioned an issue with the wheel spacing (in-and-out), so watch out for that... Otherwise, already looking good in black primer!
  3. Saw this T-shirt that seems appropriate for a few of the fellas:
  4. You MUST do something cool with that!
  5. Always a good , common-sense approach! For the same reason, I'm in the process of fitting a Lindberg '66 Cutlass chassis under the recent '64 Cutlass from Round2, not because it's the best choice, but because I had a complete chassis in a box of parts I picked up cheap. As for the 3" wheelbase difference on yours, like I said: a sixteenth-inch adjustment at each end is nearly nothing, so go for it! It will look perfectly fine. I was just throwing out options in case you might have had some odd parts stashed like so many of us do. (They accidentally accumulate over the years) Really digging your build, and Buicks in general!
  6. Yep, just a "street machine", since they didn't bother to tool up correct '68 interior parts.
  7. Nicely done!
  8. Nice looking model. We really need a full detail kit of this body style!
  9. Very cool!
  10. Your added details really make this build next-level stuff. The chassis and engine bay are especially attractive. Favorite bit: the shift linkages!

    Very sharp model!
  12. Mean stance, and great shade of blue! Well done.
  13. Very cool and subtle (style and color) that just keeps looking better the more I look at it! Very well done.
  14. Yep, this thing is looking SHARP!
  15. Close; they went from 115" to 112". Less than 1/8" in 1/25 scale, so adjusting each end 1/16" would be pretty much imperceptible. On the other hand, the AMT '69 Olds kits (Hurst Olds, Cutlass 442) should be a perfect fit and have the correct BOP details, not to mention much better details than the older Chevelle kits. With prices like they are now, you can probably find one of these cheaper than a Revell '68 Chevelle. (Also beautifully detailed, but needing the BOP tranny cross-member) The Monogram 70 Buick GSX, though 1/24, might trim down as well. Any way, very cool project! Looking forward to you build.
  16. ...just asking for trouble...?
  17. Agreed on the color! Looks great on this beautiful body style.
  18. While the engineering is amazing, it's the insanely beautiful paint colors and quality that impress me the most! Outstanding.
  19. Unused rear arm rests from the convertible kit.
  20. Is there a 2-door available? My dad had a 2dr. Impala with the "wraparound" back glass. I'd love to find a model.
  21. That Egyptian Gold looks like it has some large metallic flakes. Good for customs!
  22. That's just plain cool, and the flared tubing really took the look from toy to model nicely, along with the simple screen. It's the little things that count!
