  1. It's too long, so I shortened it, and also narrowed it a bit. Added a pad to make it sit level on the two package shelf spikes on the chassis. The builder will need to scribe a notch in the middle of the coupe seat back to make it look more like a split fold hatch seat. The hatch seat back is narrower, but changing that would require changing the whole rear seat area; adding expense and probably not worth it for something so hard to see in a built model. -MJS
  2. Sure did! And that's what gave me the idea to look at the model interior. The whole tub fit the the Revell body, but it's obviously too big. The hatch area is cut off and trimmed to fit around the coupe seat. -MJS
  3. Thanks very much, gentlemen. This is what I have so far: It fits pretty well: The only problem is that it's a total piece of junk. MPC got the shape of the inner panels completely wrong, coming from back in the dark '80s when they had just about given up - and it shows. So it won't be used. The glue is drying on the next update... -MJS
  4. Superb, brings me right back to the early '80s when they were thick on the streets. Very popular cars around here, most had custom wheels and a stereo with 6x9s in the rear deck. Yours is the nicest version of that kit I've seen. -MJS
  5. Time to get all my ducks in a row and address the interior insert. I'll use the back of an MPC chassis and rear panels, a good bit of modification will be necessary to make it so the builder can cut off the coupe package shelf and add the hatch cargo area.
  6. Very nice! Is this Christine's 'just as evil" twin, or "even more evil" twin?
  7. Stunning, it looks like you can fall into that paint. -MJS
  8. Really coming out nicely!
  9. Very nice reshaping job on the rear wheel openings.
  10. I think it came out great! Nice job on the stance, not easy on that kit.
  11. That would be a neat (ambitious) project on an MPC or Monogram Fiero.
  12. Who knew that Goo Gone could shine up paint! You learn something new every day. -MJS
  13. Amazing weathering, among the best I've seen. I like how the rust running down from the chips on the side panels is in the exact same spots on the model and the real van.
  14. Um, lots of us do it. I use small bits of sewing pins, painted black. -MJS
  15. Very nice! -MJS
  16. That would be great, but nobody has been able to give any evidence other than "I saw her in 2003, not in the greatest shape, but it was her" that she is still with us. It's sort of like the brain-damaged Elvis living on a private island rumors that used to pop up.
  17. A bit of a fantasy, but it would have been nice.
  18. Kerri was one of a kind, the best lady comic artist ever, but she died years ago in shadowy circumstances that nobody really knows about.
  19. In a world full of ugly news, it gives me a warm feeling to know that people and projects like this exist.
  20. And you shall! I took some time off the truck to do the promised Fox hatch conversion, as soon as that is done, I'll finish this one up. -MJS
  21. That word, once again, is Awesome. -MJS
  22. Those look fantastic.
  23. I never would have thought of that. You may consider shortening the rear overhang 5 scale inches to replicate the Falcon sedan length.
