  1. I liked the Pinto because it still looks mostly like a Pinto. I never got into the Vega because although it's a neat custom in itself, it looks nothing like a Vega - or even based on a Vega.
  2. I wonder if they still have the four door promo tooling?
  3. Great job. I built this kit when it was new, similarly detailed. I bought it for something different, and it went together well. I did alter the front suspension a bit to pull the front wheels into the fenders. I liked the weird blue color the kit was molded in, so I polished the plastic and it looked pretty nice. One of the other Moonlight members and I bought a table at a swap meet, and I sold off a bunch of built cars that I still kick myself for doing. This was one of them. If I can ever 3D print a time machine...
  4. Great build, and that color really sets it apart.
  5. Very nice, Mark. The Chevelle roof makes it look sleeker and more stylish than a factory '69 Belvedere wagon.
  6. Looks like a 240 retractable hardtop.
  7. Great detail and weathering. The grunge is spot-on.
  8. Tom, I don't know what happened, but I fixed it: http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/topic/59583-1964-falcon-futura/ -Mike
  9. I put one of the Christmas ornament Cammers in a Falcon. -MJS
  10. Grille shell higher than the cowl is one of my pet peeves.
  11. Glad you like the coupes, Curtis. A convertible would be a lot of casting work, more than Greg wants to get into for one kit right now. It would need a whole new interior, front and back seats, door and 1/4 panels, a trunk rack, up and down tops, and lots of other little bits. It would be pricey, and a lot of work to master. I'm not sure at this point what will be next in the Fox Collection, but it should be something flashy and unique. I have some ideas... Yes you do! I'm mainly an aero owner, but these days, they are all pretty much antiques so they all fall into the same category as I see it. -MJS
  12. The Master Caster resin conversion kits are ready. The kit converts a Revell 1990 Mustang LX coupe to a hatch back. Included is the body, hood, front bumper, rear spoiler, rear interior insert, vacuformed windows, and a "slide" of clear plastic to make the 1/4 windows and the third brake light lens from. PM Greg Wann for prices and to get on the list. -MJS
  13. Great replica, and I love how Captain Risky has an American accent.
  14. In the 1:1 world, the caps are sometimes called Shannons Cones.
  15. That just means that they will be back three years from now, and we can all buy them somewhere else then, too.
  16. Beautiful, one of the nicest builds I've seen on the stock configuration kit. Color combination couldn't be better, it seems like about 1/4 of them were those colors when they were common on the streets.
  17. Great job! If there's one thing I like better than a rags-to-riches gluebomb rescue story, it's a kitbash rags-to-riches gluebomb rescue story. It's like a rescue times rescue, or rescue squared.
  18. X3! Great color combo!
  19. Just got here. Apparently, between the time this thread was started and now, the company markings and name were scrubbed from the video and story, assuming they were there originally.
  20. Beautiful job. The Futura, originally ice white, was repainted red for the movie "It Started With a Kiss", before deteriorating on the street in front of the Barris shop, and finally getting customized in 1965 in the somewhat familiar black version.
  21. Sits perfect, stance is everything.
  22. This site lists an available Pastel chamois/black 2 tone: http://www.mustangspecs.com/years/81.shtml Doesn't say whether it was available on a Cobra. Knowing Ford back then, it probably was - and maybe a handful were built - and it would have had the orange/brown graphics package. Know how to print decals on the computer? now would be a good time to learn. You can't go wrong with that Bittersweet/Vaquero combo, it's dreamy, no?
