  1. Tom, I don't know what happened, but I fixed it: http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/topic/59583-1964-falcon-futura/ -Mike
  2. I put one of the Christmas ornament Cammers in a Falcon. -MJS
  3. Grille shell higher than the cowl is one of my pet peeves.
  4. Glad you like the coupes, Curtis. A convertible would be a lot of casting work, more than Greg wants to get into for one kit right now. It would need a whole new interior, front and back seats, door and 1/4 panels, a trunk rack, up and down tops, and lots of other little bits. It would be pricey, and a lot of work to master. I'm not sure at this point what will be next in the Fox Collection, but it should be something flashy and unique. I have some ideas... Yes you do! I'm mainly an aero owner, but these days, they are all pretty much antiques so they all fall into the same category as I see it. -MJS
  5. The Master Caster resin conversion kits are ready. The kit converts a Revell 1990 Mustang LX coupe to a hatch back. Included is the body, hood, front bumper, rear spoiler, rear interior insert, vacuformed windows, and a "slide" of clear plastic to make the 1/4 windows and the third brake light lens from. PM Greg Wann for prices and to get on the list. -MJS
  6. Great replica, and I love how Captain Risky has an American accent.
  7. In the 1:1 world, the caps are sometimes called Shannons Cones.
  8. That just means that they will be back three years from now, and we can all buy them somewhere else then, too.
  9. Beautiful, one of the nicest builds I've seen on the stock configuration kit. Color combination couldn't be better, it seems like about 1/4 of them were those colors when they were common on the streets.
  10. Great job! If there's one thing I like better than a rags-to-riches gluebomb rescue story, it's a kitbash rags-to-riches gluebomb rescue story. It's like a rescue times rescue, or rescue squared.
  11. X3! Great color combo!
  12. Just got here. Apparently, between the time this thread was started and now, the company markings and name were scrubbed from the video and story, assuming they were there originally.
  13. Beautiful job. The Futura, originally ice white, was repainted red for the movie "It Started With a Kiss", before deteriorating on the street in front of the Barris shop, and finally getting customized in 1965 in the somewhat familiar black version.
  14. Sits perfect, stance is everything.
  15. This site lists an available Pastel chamois/black 2 tone: http://www.mustangspecs.com/years/81.shtml Doesn't say whether it was available on a Cobra. Knowing Ford back then, it probably was - and maybe a handful were built - and it would have had the orange/brown graphics package. Know how to print decals on the computer? now would be a good time to learn. You can't go wrong with that Bittersweet/Vaquero combo, it's dreamy, no?
  16. I'd like to see the Corvette America backdated to a '68-'69 L-88. What a cool phantom that would be.
  17. I've never seen a '80-'81 Cobra without the flat black lower body paint. The bittersweet Recaros would be a strong "maybe". They were available in regular Mustangs through '81, and I've seen them in '82 GTs in the Pace Car black/white stutter stripe pattern as factory equipment. Recaros in a Vaquero interior, (orangy brown) '81 Cobra. Wedgewood blue:
  18. Like many/most MPC kits of the day, this one is a little confused about exactly what it is. It purports to be an '82 GT, a milestone Mustang, without actually saying it. The last year for that series of Cobras was '81, which is the year that would have had the 4.2/255 V8. Since the 4.2 and the 302/5.0 both were dimensionally identical, the engine could be called either. The kit comes with the Cobra/recycled pace car hood cowl, but also the '82 GT scoop - so it can be built as either.. but it lacks the Cobra graphic decals so an '82 GT 5.0 would be the best bet. Most of the ones I remember seeing were medium red with a sunroof and TRX wheels. Nice looking cars.
  19. That's a '58. Never seen a '58 Ford with a '57 Chevy front bumper before.
  20. Another smooth trade with Al (thatz4u).
  21. Fantastic job. Love the color combo, and the Cammer is perfect. I like the wheels too, that dull gold is the color that many real magnesium wheels started out as, and they look the part. The only thing I would do (as has been suggested) is to move the front wheels out just a little closer to the fenders.
