  1. Thanks John. The Master Caster stopped by to drop off the resin glass buck for the hatch glass, and informed me that the current coupe mold finally broke; so a new one will have to be made to fill out the remaining coupe orders. After five molds, this thing is roached. A full tune-up will have to be done before it can be molded again, so I'll get it done by next week. Between this and the hatch master, I've got poor Greg counting Foxes in his sleep. -MJS
  2. A great name for it would be ReCharged in wavy '60s style lettering on the sides. -MJS
  3. A phantom '40 Sportsman convertible! Glorious! Sir, I think you'll do well here. -MJS
  4. Ron, that's one of the nicest Rockford Firebirds I've seen. I can picture it doing a reverse J-turn with a '75 Monte Carlo chasing it. -MJS
  5. OK, where were we? I had two windshields, both glue burned and one cracked. I smoothed the best one, and vacuformed a replacement: I took the least glue-bombed interior, sanded some damage smooth, and used it along with Monogram Fox Mustang Recaros from the parts box, and a rally console with thermos bottles from an AMT '64 Falcon. Painted it all up this afternoon with Testors spray bombs. The colors are Some Kind Of Blue and Some Kind Of Pewter. I didn't want to use the same colors as the exterior. The dash was masked and the faces shot with Tamiya semigloss black. Looking for a decal sheet from the new issue kit for the gauge faces. Further detailing will be basic, but it will have navy blue flocking and a CB radio. -MJS
  6. Thanks Jeremiah. Did they happen to have the blue/white two tone? -Mike
  7. Beautiful rendering. Who knew the GL kit had such decent detail waiting to be exploited?
  8. Great job. The car, originally all black, was used in Corvette Summer. -MJS
  9. I used to have a '61 Sedan Delivery. Not the easiest cars to drive, but sooo cool. -MJS
  10. Not to be out done, his brother Bob immediately set to work on his Mustang.
  11. I wish I could find one of those for 30 bucks, the cheapest I've seen them listed for is around $50.
  12. I just got a set. To be honest, I've seen better. Many lines through the artwork, with sawtooth edges. They look better in the auction on the monitor. -MJS
  13. I've never had problems with the chrome, even on a ten year old sheet. I did have a sheet of gold lose it's sticky after about four years, however.
  14. Hard to beat the '58 Bonneville for bright and sassy without going off the deep end. '60-'61 Comet. Space age on a budget. I may be a bit biased on this one. -MJS
  15. Scott, Time for my semi-annual nagging. How's that stock Futura body coming along?
  16. Thanks for the compliments, gentlemen. Dan, Barring anything unforeseen, good chance. -Mike
  17. That is really unique!
  18. I'm calling this one done. It took a back seat to a few other pressing things over the last month, but it's all buttoned up now. Added standoffs to the insert to level it to the chassis. Assemble it to the interior/chassis unit, and it slips into the body easily. Now just have to get it off to the Master Caster. -MJS
  19. Modelhaus has them, order a few sets before you-know-what. http://www.modelhaus.com/index.php?c=4106&p=65589 -MJS
  20. If you look at them not as models, but as folk art of sorts; they could be neat items to hand paint and display in the garden, kitchen windowsill, or possibly in a fish tank next to the little diver guy. -MJS
  21. Thanks, I suppose that certain things you want often require more than the point/click system of ordering that has become the accepted way of adding to your stuff collection.
  22. Ordering info on that site would be nice.
