  1. If the testimonial of absolutely everybody on this site who has ever bought anything from them at any time in the last 25 years isn't good enough, then I don't think pictures would be either.
  2. I think I ripped that from Cavallino.com.
  3. Came yesterday from Greenlight/GMP. Very nice. They eliminated the retracting seat belt feature, and the 1/4 windows have the black painted on the outside instead of the inside, but all other GMP features are there. -MJS
  4. Proposed 18 inch setup. 70% of fans preferred them.
  5. Great idea on having both kits. I learned to drive in the family '79 LTD-S (single headlights) wagon. A stock version could be built as a police, fire chief, coroner, service, news crew, race team hauler, family car with Airstream, and a zillion other possibilities. The Truckster parts would be a nice bonus. Unfortunately, I don't see it happening. I'm building a 1:1 Bluesmobile as we speak (It's been taking up a lot of time lately) So no surprise how I feel about a 1:25 kit. No way on the shared chassis, a box Panther with a torsion bar front end is just wrong - and the kind of move that gets kit companies in hot water in the hobby. A one piece chassis, a la promo style with no engine detail would be better, although full detail is always best. Also, for these two to share a chassis, one would have to be under or over scale, as the C barge Monaco is considerably wider than the Panther. -MJS
  6. Beautiful job, I don't recall ever seeing this kit built. Too bad, it's impressive.
  7. Sorry for the delayed response Christian. I can view pictures on any other thread, but none of Dominik's hosted photos. His linked pictures in the last post are visible. The reason is that his image hosting site was flagged by my Sophos anti-virus as infected. I didn't want to go charging in there after seeing that. It's unfortunate, as I have a friend who wants me to build a '57 wagon when they come out in that light pea green and white combo. -Mike
  8. Leepu's taste is definitely out there. This Camaro is tame compared to some of the cars he built in London with Bernie from Classic Car Rescue. I like this show because they show a decent amount of actual mechanical work being done to the cars, unlike a lot of "car" shows. I didn't think that this genre of program could get worse than Counting Cars, which has 44 minutes of insipid tripe with 45 seconds to one minute of car work. Then Lost in Transmission came along, to mount a challenge for last place.
  9. I've owned several radio delete cars. '78 ultra-plain jane Fairmont: '65 Ranchero (still have it) And my Comet wagon was one, but I added one to chrome up the dash a bit more. A model radio delete car would be cool, and you wouldn't have to drill the fender for an antenna.
  10. I haven't built the kit yet, but I did build a 1:1 around 15 years ago. The kit looks pretty good to me.
  11. Dominick, The first one materialized today, but none of the others. I'm on Firefox, I opened the thread on Chrome, same story. All other pics on all other threads load immediately. Very confusing. -Mike
  12. Don't know if it's been posted here, but I happened across this site of some pretty imaginative photoshops of new and older cars turned into alternative body styles, woodie wagons, etc. Potential projects? http://artandcolourcars.blogspot.com/2012_02_01_archive.html -MJS
  13. The pictures just aren't opening up for me.
  14. Looks more like an F131.
  15. Here's the actual version. I think you'll agree that it's smack-worthy. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=099douUPsOE#t=35
  16. There were no leaf springs to contain the rear axle, so it was probably a four link. Possibilities? Grade nothing bolts, bad setup with bolts in single shear, or bolts run through with loose or likely no nuts at all. Then Dart dude floors it, and all Dana breaks loose.
  17. Looks great. I restored a glue bomb about 25 years ago, maroon but very similar looking. -MJS
  18. That's why there's not much graffiti in AZ.
  19. Because the worst that humanity has to offer has to shop somewhere. I go there as little as possible, but when I do, it's always a stunning display.
  20. Favorite Harry: Dirty Harry. Least favorite Harry: The one who allegedly got pummeled by his own exercise equipment.
  21. One of the bonafide Greats. I saw him perform in The Big Easy in '90. -MJS
  22. Soooo nice... -MJS
