  1. Very pretty car. Good job!
  2. Got her done today. It's not perfect, but I couldn't be happier with the way it turned out.
  3. Done! Posting to Under Glass.
  4. One of these things is not like the other. Tail lights are on, but one of the housings flinged off into the never. So I made a mold of one of the survivors and cast a new one. It's a little off, but it fit the body without having to be adjusted.
  5. Getting there. Body is on and wheels. The headlights do move. It ain't perfect, but really happy so far.
  6. Completed engine compartment and interior. I'm not gonna do the seat belts.
  7. Went to Hobby Lobby and they had kits on sale for 40% off. I picked up the Revell 1969 Chevelle SS 396. It was either that or the 71 Cutlass
  8. Working on this one, now I want the Porsche 356B. Had one way back when, but it went with my old collection. Man, I was stupid.
  9. Here's the dash. Pretty happy with it so far
  10. One other tip, if I may. The instructions have very clear order of assembly at the side of each page and they aren't kidding. The exhaust headers have to be installed after the engine is attached on the frame. That's where I ran into issues with the belts. The engine wasn't completely in place, so I couldn't get the headers on, they were being blocked by the suspension.
  11. Updates!! The chassis went together without too much argument. Only thing I'll note is the belt system on the engine can interfere with installing the engine to the frame. I had to pop the belts off, install the engine, then put everything back together.
  12. It doesn't seem to be overly bad to put together - so far. One big up side is that everything has a positive location where it's supposed to go and it fits very well. The worst part is the amount of very tiny parts, especially chrome bits. I'd still rather be working on this than the Heller kits I've touched so far.
  13. This is a first for me. Never done a WIP before, but the engine came out so well I had to share. The engineering on this kit is astounding. I'll post more as I go, but here's what I've got so far.
  14. I've got an old Airfix kit, but I'd love to pick up one of these.
  15. I've been kinda interested in one of these. Nice work!
  16. I had a '72 Buick Skylark hardtop that color. It was Flame Orange with a white vinyl top and white/black interior. Loved that car.
  17. Changed the 2009 Chevy Malibu out for a 2011 GMC Acadia. The new vehicle has a lot less miles and is in nice shape. Never wanted an SUV, but I have to say I'm enjoying it so far. Nice amount of space and good power.
  18. I showed this in my own topic a few weeks ago, but:
  19. I could see that being used in the pits at a race. Really neat!
  20. I just finished one of these recently. I ended up gluing a strip of styrene at the bottom of the clear part using liquid adhesive, then just cleaning up the seam. It's not perfect, but it's hard to spot unless you know it's there.
  21. I've got the '57 Cameo kit, but haven't built it yet. Thanks for the compliments! Oh, forgot: the bed was done with the woodgrain Washi tape and foil. I think it's one of the things I'm happiest with. I've got some others I'll be posting soon.
  22. My brother gave me this one a couple of years ago for Christmas. It came out really well. I opened up the grille so you can see the radiator through it. The glass was the worst part, since it was actually too small for the openings. I had to laminate a piece of plastic on the bottom and then polish it back out.
  23. Amazing build!
