  1. The fact that they used the sectioned AMT 32 Ford coupe body for their master helps to give it that low slung look. The Chop just makes it even lower!!! Looking VERY good there,Bro, I LIKES it!!!!
  2. I'm with Rob. I been useing the blue stuff for years! It works VERY well. I get it at Staples, or any office supply store.
  3. I use Aileen's. it's available at Micheals for less than 5 bucks. It's even less with the coupon. It works GREAT!
  4. Rod, where didja get the wheels/tires? Are they from Ma's? if so, wat size are they? I got a few of these trucks, and this one truck has really got the look to it. And I'm not a big truck guy. Although, I DO have some big trucks But anyways, I likes the way this one looks, an I'd like to try my hand at one, But them TARS is wat MAKES IT! Soooooo wardja gettim Hu,hu???(Nudge, nudge, wink, wink) :P
  5. Jean, you did a GREAT job on your conversion! I REALLY like the last pic of it at the gas station. The lighting is GREAT in it, It LOOKS real!!!!
  6. That nasty lookin rear end is why I bought the 68 conversion kit from Modelhaus. It's also the reason I preffer the 68 Chevelle over the 69. NEVER liked the tailight treatment of the 69's. Your doin a GREAT job on this rascal. What color is it gonna be? It's lookin GOOD!!!!
  7. Jim, If Steve Kohler is selling it it MAY be an R&R kit. Jeff's kit is LIGHT YEARS BEYOND ANYTHING that R&R has. They're really NOT EVEN in the same league. I DO buy R&R stuff, caz he's got a few off the wall kits, but they're NO WAY as clean and finely cast as Motor City Resins offerings! You'd have to do ALOT of work to them to bring it up to MCR standards! An THAT'S tha TRUFF!!!!
  8. Just ONE reason WHY i like this place so much. If you ask a question, SOMEBODY here can answer it!!!!
  9. Gary, just PM me, an I'll tell ya what all he offers. You WILL NOT be dissapointed if you were to order sight unseen. His castings are JUST as nice as ANY injected molded mass produced kit! You can trust me on this one.
  10. GOOD question Gary. I guess i gotta ask Kevin.
  11. Guys, I just got a sneek preview at Kevin's NEW Missing Link Catalog, if you have Face Book, you can access it thru there. He's got a few new conversions, and some new bodies too. You guys should check it out, Kevin's stuff is 1st rate!!! I got a 70 Mustang Mach 1 commin soon!!! CHECK it out guys, you'll be VERY pleased with it!
  12. Nawww Mike, it wasn't mine you saw, cas I don't post pics. But i CAN tell you your in for a suprise if your expecting a run of the mill kit. Jeff's truck is complete except for a engine and tires! It's molded in a white resin that looks JUST LIKE plastic! You WILL like it, I can tell you that! Jim, if you do get one it'll be just as nice as mine! they're pretty complete, like i said, just add tires an motor an shake!!! OK,Ok, maybe not QUITE that easy, but it ain't hard to assemble either!!(LoL) :D
  13. I've got a Mr. Coffee dehydrator that Ive used for at least 15 years now. IF you can find one with a Thermostat, that would be your best bet! I keep an oven thermometer in mine and it reads a steady 90 degrees when it's been running for about 5 minutes. It was SOOOO cheap( How cheep was it,Johnny???) That I bought TWO!!! I used the disc shelves from the second one in the first. It raises the drying platform about 10 inches from the base. it stays at a steady 90 degrees at that height. It works VERY well.
  14. Jim, not to my knowledge. The only thing I KNOW he does have, it the 66. IF he can find a 60 truck kit that's unblemished, I'm sure he could do it too.
  15. GREAT idea! It came out REAL nice! what did you use for the rock salt? REAL rock salt??? Oh an It DOESN'T take anything away from your build, but I THINK you spelled Canadian wrong.
  16. IMMA go with BIG scale MODEL.
  17. Well Brandon, considering what you started with, you DID do a GREAT job! Personally, with the Revell kit out an Missing Links 70 Charger conversion, I'da never bothered with this old kit. But you did one HECKAVA job with this tired old mold! The colors perfect and the 68/9/70 B-bodies, are my FAVORITE Chrysler styles!! GREAT JOB!!!
  18. They look good,LoLo. I like the monte, it came out great!!!
  19. LoLo, you in FLORIDA now??? Waz up wi dat???? Hope all is well, an you finally get you some time ta build!!
  20. Chuck, My brother in law once had a 56 chevy with a 55 'glass flip front end on it. The lines flowed perfectly and it made quite a few folks confused. But you could see the family resemblance in the body lines. It looked cool too!!!!
  21. Mike If the truck your waitin on is from Motor City Resin Casters, your gonna be in for QUITE the surprise! Jeff mastered the HECK outta this kit. It came out VERY nice. I have one myself and am VERY please with it's quality. You will be too!
  22. Rob, it's a little too late, but MAYBE if you had just REMOVED the engine /suspension carraige from the chassisby cutting it AT the junction of the cradle AND side frame rails, you could've moved it up just a tad an re glued it back in to where it would give yo the clearance you needed. I built this car SO long ago, I didn't remember the problem. NOW i see EXACTLY what your talking about. I still have TWO in my stash, and Im gonna give it a shot. I'll get back with ya on it later! Wish me luck!
  23. There USED to be a black 69 around here that other than the interior, it looked JUST like that. I REALLY like the way you painted the hood intake grilles RED. The REAL HEMI'S had that SAME treatment! This is a VERY nice built. I have about 5 of them, and I used the 68/9/70 AMT chassis on them. Even tore up some 40 year old builds to put a more accurate chassis under them. It was WORTH it!!! Your Hemi Road Runner came out GREAT!!!!! :o
  24. The AMT 57 T-Bird kit has a nice 312 in it. But it IS all chromed. NICE motor, regardless! Doesn't the Revell 56 Ford Pickup come with a 312 also??? Hope this helps! :o
  25. Don, this a PERFECT reason WHY I'm a scale bigot. The Black 70 Cuda is AS LARGE as that 49 ford it's sitting next to. I CANNOT handle that! If i DO build a 24th model it'll set next to OTHER 24th scale models. i NEVER mix the scales after they're built. To ME the scale difference IS VERY obvious. That's why, until I got the old AMT 69 and 70 Mustang kits, which ARE acutual 25th scale kits, I didn't have a 69 or 70 mustangs in 25th(except the OLD revell kits, of which BOTH are coupes, and NOT fastbacks) I have both the original 69 and 70 Mustang Fastback(sportsroofs) in MPC kits, but those are unfortunately 26th scale kits. They WERE cool at the time, but I ALWAYS wondered why they looked so small next to the same year Camaro kits from MPC. Yeah, they could use a little dusting, they ARE nice models. Jus clean 'em up, an show 'em off!!!! :o
