When coalman yung told the people of Deeeetroy "if you DON'T like how I RUN MY TOWN, Hit the OTHER side of 8 mile" 8 mile road is the Deeeetroy city limits. The DECENT and GOOD folks left. You see the results, they even rob ACCIDENT victims BEFORE the near non existant EMS gets to them. It IS the dregs!!!!!!!

Guys, Ol Jeff makes the masters for himself, then, most times, WE get a new kit. He's pretty darn good at it too. He has the real deal settin at the Batcave, to copy everything on the Valiant Wagon. His brothe owns the Falcon, so I's guess it'll be right on. I'mma be gettin one. Thanks Jeff, I din't know about this rascal!

george 53 replied to Steve_L's topic in Diecast Corner
I dunno, it still hasta grow on me I guess. Wasn't real impressed with this one. LOVE the engine, but the styleing is rather copycat Ferrari to me. I gotta agree with Ed on the "Cheese Wedge" style. -
The Most Embarrassing Cars To Drive
george 53 replied to slusher's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
NOBODY thought of a Yugo???? Man,was THAT a peice.... Not a whole lot ta look at either. -
At that scale there isn't much difference between a 383 and a 440. WHY WOULD AMT bring out a NEW kit, when they ALREADY have a state of the art kit? Just to have a vynil top??? Personally, I think this is just AMT's way of gettin a few more miles outta a popular mold.Oh an the 68 AMT RoadRunner already has a bench seat. They came standard.

I have almost all the 24th Airfix aircraft kits except the Stuka.(Just never cared for it,go figger!) They are BIG when finished so take that into account. They assemble VERY nicely. No more difficult than a good Tamiya multi part kit. I have quite a few 24th scale aircraft, Trumpeter and some older OOB company's ,Bandai and VFS, for example, can still be found in the 24th scale Aircraft section of E-Bay. They have some REALLY good deals!

george 53 replied to realgone58's topic in Car Aftermarket / Resin / 3D Printed
Had a buddy who had one with a 301 6 cylinder with an automatic. That little rascal could REALY HAUL! There was a company years ago, Clifford Engineering that used to make hop up parts for 6's. Id'a been nice if Ron had been able ta cast a 6 cylinder with it. One of my favorite AMC's. -
It's out and available from ModelCave Hobby Shop!!! about 38 bucks, conact John at ModelCave.com

67 Impala Supernatural - Weapons and stuff...
george 53 replied to Drago's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
WHOOOAAAA, Drago, your MY kinda man! I LOVE ta see plastic cut up like this! I like the foresight to see the Impala quarters in the Camaro! VERY good eye! This is gonna be a cool project, seems like EVERYBODY (me included) likes that "Supernatural Impala" -
Got two of the white ones when I found 'em. One was a purchase for about 20 bucks plus shipping, and I traded for the other one. They are VERY nicely done! Never saw a black one. THAT looks good!

How did you get started building models?
george 53 replied to clovis's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Watched my big brother build them. Probably got smacked a few times for playin with his. My dad bought me some 72 scale airplanes when I was about 5 or so, my brother showed me how they went together. Them my brother bought me my first CAR model. It was Revell's 56 Chrysler New Yorker, with the multi-peice body. I got it for my 6th birthday, in 1959, and I've never stopped. Found this place in 07 after I retired and been here ever since too. I like my hobby and enjoy the freinds I've made thru it. I have the privlige of calling some GSL winners my personal freinds, and have even enjoyed their company in my home after some NNL's. -
I have this Die Cast also! This is the only other one I've seen! Yes, by all means, If you do find one BUILD IT! That is what it was created for, after all. I'm fortunate enough to have the Green John Deere, the Red International, the farm wagon and the multi disced cultivator. They do look nice with the Combine. I REALLY think this dio is TOO cool too!

Best place to get a 65 Plymouth
george 53 replied to caine440's topic in Car Aftermarket / Resin / 3D Printed
Roger, I've built a few MCW resin kits and to be honest with you, they ARE pretty nice. They fit well with VERY LITTE clean up or flash removal.I think they're pretty good quality, and fast shipping. Depending on what kind of mood he was in Ray COULD pour a pretty clean casting. Go to Star Models, and ask Steve what the casting looks like, He'll be straight up with you as to what it might need to finish. take his word, he KNOWS! There ARE other guys who cast REALLY well, so if your lookin for a nice reasonably priced 65 Pylmouth, they ARE out there. -

Very nice! I like the second one better too! Great job. -
I just wanted to know WHY we were gettin 'em now. ARE they helpin PAY for the forum,or WAT???? That's all.

IF the mold WASN'T modded for the 69 R/T it would be the next logical move! I've used the new RR/GTX/SB chassis, engine compartment in over a dozen old MPC 60's Mopar kits and they have all fit with very little mods. Mostly just trimming around the rear trunk fillers and maybe trimming the length just a tad.

Ed, they're KINDA trained, so no they don't really NEED me, I just like ta see 'em actin like they do! It's FUN! -
Wow! I've NEVER heard of something like that happenin from usein Dehydrator! Maybe the guys are right about the gassin out thing. I just do mist coats till it's nearly covered, than go back and give it some slightly heavier color coats till it's where I want it. i put it in the dehydrator between coats, and I've never had a problem like that.
