GREAT save! Those 68 thru 70 B bodies were always my favorite Mopars!

Sure is,Terry! and yeah, Colin, it'sa big ol sucker! But like I said, it's the ONLY model of an F-4 in 24th scale that I've EVER heard of! I first heard of it about 10 years ago, but when I tried to order it then, the gentleman who makes them, told me he had stopped as his molds were worn out, and he stopped offering it. About 3 months ago, i tried him again, an Viola! he had them back in stock. I only paid 90 bucks for it WITH shipping, and shipping came to 17 dollars alone! This is gonna be a good'n!!! But like I said, if ya want one, yer gonna hafta build that rascal, so, I am!

The 2014 Corvette?
george 53 replied to Roger U's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
The roofline got me. TOO Ferrari/Camaro lookin to me. I don't think this is even a close rendering. -
Late 50's early 60's Cops an Robbers show. Brodrick Crawford was the star. He's gone now too. Funny, I thought of "Highway Patrol" right away too! Nice model, it brings back some nice memories!

Actually Colin, it comes with a short nose or a long nose, and i believe I can build a few variants of it. It comes with the fairings for the mini gun equipped F-4's s, an it does come with missles and a cast metal landing gear set up. It's vacu-formed so a little knowledge of building these types of kits would be helpful. I've never done one QUITE this big, but hey, If ya want it, yer gonna hafta BUILD that rascal! So, that's wat Im gonna do!

GREAT lookin aircraft there, Colin. I used to build 48th scale(still do, occasionally) But now, I have moved up to 24th scale aircraft. They are kinda hard to find, but Squadron Shop seems to get the newest ones out. I FINALLY got the Airfix 24th scale Dehavilland Mosquito, and I'm waiting now on the P-47 Thunderbolt by Vintage Aircraft Models. i FINALLY got the Combat Models F-4 Phantom, and man, that thing is huge! I thought the Airfix AV-8B Harrier was big, but this Phantom is ALOT bigger!!!!

I personally can vouch for the quality of ANY D.R.A.G. product. I've been to the Batcave and I've seen the first rate quality of their products. Others i've had the pleasure of dealing with are Norm Vebbers Rep.& Min. , Model Car World, Porkies Resin Casting, Bandit Resins,Modelhaus, and a few guys HERE, like Shucky, who's turbo's are THE BEST in scale,Ma's Resin's, who does EVERYTHING right, and Sean( The guy with the roll-back kit, 1st rate stuff!), and some others. Jimmy is good for the money(only 10 bucks for his bodies at the toyshows!)but the DO take a bit of work to build, and R&R, well, don't say ya weren't warned. I all honesty though, IF you see Roy at a show, then, you can ask to look at the resin you want, and them judge for yourself if you can handle it. IF you ORDER his stuff from Steve Kohler at Star Resins, ask HIM if it looks easy or hard to build, he'll give you an HONEST answer and he's pretty good on lettin ya know the truth.STAY AWAY from TKM stuff. Once you SEE it, you'll KNOW why. Hth.

My Mom came home with a new one of these and my Pop had a FIT! He NEVER liked Chryslers, and couldn't believe she had done it. Needless to say, she ended up gettin a new Lincoln 4 dr convertable! That's my Momma! She gonna do it, she gonna do it RIGHT! We had Lincolns of my life, after that. Dad LOVED Fords, and to them, Lincolns were the cream of the crop. (Personally, I'M STILL a Cadillac Man!!!!)

What's the story behind your user name/avatar?
george 53 replied to JollySipper's topic in The Off-Topic Lounge
I had to ask Harry for mine, as I know ZIP about computers an stuff. It's from King Crimsons 1st album, "In the Court of The Crimson King" the song is "21st Century Schizoid Man". Sums it up pretty well. I also "Talk to the Wind" alot. it suits me just fine. -
43 Years ago today, it started . . .
george 53 replied to Greg Myers's topic in The Off-Topic Lounge
Had a freind who went. he said that other than the music, it was a MISERABLE time! No planning, no emergency facilities , not enough consesion stands, and to the chagrin of MANY attendees, NO COPS!!!!! I heard even the State Police wouldn't go in. Funny how things change once you look back on it. -
Oh, an MCW makes some GREAT resin bodies! I've gotten quite a few of them myself, and I'm ALWAYS pleased wit their quality!
-
Yep, that's a Cat. You can tell by the tailights. Cats had one oval shaped light per side. Bonney's had THREE circular shaped ones in a long oval shaped bezel. Hth.

They only thing wrong with this kit(other than being 24th scale) is that you CANNOT make a PURE STOCK model of this car. UNFORTUNATELY, it comes with a 1969 dashboard. Little thing, I know, BUT it IS wrong in that depatment! The 68 GTO had a 68 ONLY dashboard! It was ONE YEAR ONLY design, and it changed for 69. Steve Milberry turned me on to that fact when he sent me a 68 resin cast dashboard he made. I got a unbuilt 68 off the bay, and sure enough, he's right! Since then ,I've always trusted his advice!
