  1. Yea, They did that 1/350 scale Enterprise, but that is not Automotive. Though I am a TREKKIE (Roddenberry's word) and would love one, I don't count Sci-Fi kit here unless they are also Automotive.
  2. The commercial above is from Brazil
  3. I did the "Golden Tokens" from MPC. Got the "Christie" fire engine that way. Never heard about the AMT UPC code or Monogram Instruction page programs. Not sure I would have cut up my instruction sheet then anyway!!
  4. Don't think that will happen. No New tooling from Ropund2 since the Batmobiles!! Maybe Some one Will do the SceniCruiser though!!! I would be happy with them in 1/32 like the Many Japanese Buses!! Or even Just Re-issued!!!!
  5. Still, that is enough info to know you got a Kit!! The Promo would not have been 'Unassembled" like that I have 7+ of those Hubley/Gabreal Diecast kits. all three of the 32 Chevy's, 2 Packards, Ford Woody & Roadster. Yes that have flash, More so that plastic kits (They did include a File) I built all but the Ford A Roadster, and had little trouble with them. Just like the Revell Old tool 55-57 Chevies!!!
  6. I have seen the Cosma Ray Vette, and almost had a couple Builts of the Mannix Roadster. Believe it or not, that is why we will not get MPC's 67-69 Olds Toronado back. That is what is left of the annual.
  7. On that Funny7 car body, since the sides are so flat, I would glue some Sheet styrene behind it. .01 .015, or .02 inch, depending any interior piece that needs to fit. run it as far across the side as possible, then fill the gap with .02 or .04. I personally would use the thinner and layer it for greater strength. I have a Prestige 63 Galaxie like that. Smaller gaps, but more. I cut it apart, and used the windshield frame area to repair a Promo!
  8. 2 separate trucks. Long box is 71 XLT, short box is 69 Custom. First 4 pic's are Shortbox. Notice too Dog-dish caps on thos 4 pics. Longbox first pic is #5, notice Full hubcaps!!(Simulate 5 spokes)
  9. Forgot the Vega, Think I have a Gremliln too
  10. That 62 does look like a Kit not a Promo. I have seen them shaped like an upside down banana, or Camel's Hump!!! Do you have the Instruction sheet or box for that one?? You are correct, that a Promo did not have the accessories like push bar on the front bumper or Tow hitch on the rear
  11. I don't remember them being molded in colors. I have the 57 Chevy Convert, And had both 55's hardtop & convert, but traded them. All were molded in White. I bought the 57 Convert New in Pittsburgh in late 79-early 80 Yes AMT offered these. I think the line included 55 Chevy Coupe, Convert & Nomad, 57 Chevy Convert, 57 T-Bird, and I think a 64-6 Mustang These kits had opening doors.
  12. Not in these. The Stock version is a Separate kit. These were the first 3 kits, the Stock was #4
  13. Got several of those too. Never did have the Lincoln Mark or Eldorado, but Do have the Boat tail Riv!!! How about the Pickup with Camper that started out as a Ford, then magically became a Chevy!! Have some of those too. MG, Packard Dual Cowl, Jeepster, Mail Truck, Cement Mixer, American LaFrance Open cab Pumper (have one of those in the Original Box!) VW Van camper, VW Beetle, Ford COE Semi tracotr/trailer GMC Tow Truck, Ford School bus, the SceniCruiser (Greyhound), Model B Utility Pickup 32 Ford, I have a LOT of these!!
  14. I have several of that. It is still the Pyro kit!!!
  15. I have seen a few of those. Once at an auction, butt hey were combined in a box lot 4 or 5 of them. Went more than I wanted to pay
  16. Since many caster's say to use Wesley's Bleche Whyte to Clean the mold release they also say to use that for paint stripping. Not sure about getting it now though, I read on here that it had been dropped, and maybe had a new name & owner. DO NOT try Brake Fluid. it will Melt resin!!
  17. Yea, The CMG has a Standard grill, Both the Ramcharger's & Maverick have the "Hemi" grill. I myself have the Ramcharger's & CMG kits. First thought about building the CMG Stock till they announced the Stock version of the kit!
  18. never saw it in stores, but have seen it listed on that evil place every so often. Goes very High too!!!!
  19. Did you see the other one he has?? And the Slide in Camper?? He states these were Laser cut/etched. I would love to try for one, but....................... They are Modern, (Are they Actual replica's?) and of course the Big problem.................
  20. They were offered as Both Promo & Kit. I have 2 of the 60 Country Sedan, and there is NO way they were Kits, They are Warped, and even Hubley cast their kits in more stable Styrene. The front fenders are pulling away from the grill, and the window unit has Shrunk greatly leaving the lower edge of the piece showing almost all the way around! I have some parts from a 60 Fairlane 4dr sedan, and it is in a Near neon Blue. A Partial 61 Country Sedan wagon Kit is White. That Promo was Light Mint green!! I believe Hubley labeled their Fords 1/24. What makes the 60 look so big to my eyes, is that the tires are So much smaller than AMT's early annuals!! Sure wish some one could find the tooling of these!!!
  21. That was THE Box for Both the F100 & Chevy!!!! No Error on that one. The F-100 & Apachei shared box art from 60 to that 63! Then only the Chevy was produced as a kit til the re-issue of th e63 F-100 in 68 as the "Hunter's Special" replacing the gocart withthe "Clyde's Custom Camper" fiberglass topper AMT started Separate box art for all kits in 64. The Boat, 32 & 40 Fords got separate box art from the start. 1960, but annuals remained in generic boxes til 64. though they were different for Hardtops, convertibles, and from '60, Compacts Styline & Advanced Custom boxes were also still generic. Most of these were the Annual box in 61& 63
  22. I remember that Van in the Mini-Lindy's. about 1/64 scale, but Not 1/32! I have a few of them!!
  23. I was in the Revell club twicw, and even in the Aurora club too. Til I got a Knight that my mom returned. I never received another from them after that. I know that is how I got my Aurora XKE kit. I also got the Skycrane Helicopter from Both Aurora & Revell!! Almost Identical in size, but different parts layout Got 2 of the Tucumcari Hydrofoil & Growler Sub from the Rev clubs. Almost joined the Monogram one for the Malibu Police car that was first offer on the entry form. If I had know then that the ex-Aurora 1/32's were included in that series, I Would have joined! Still have some of the Mailer boxes from Both Rev, & Aurora
  24. One day, I would love to go to a Swap meet. None around here though!!! Have gone to Carlisle Pa Car shows and found deals on Kit's & Promos!!
