  1. Holy moly, that is a beauty. Too bad the high price point. I would have to sell the house. lol! Enjoy building it.
  2. Yeah what you don't see in the picture is the checked embossing that doesn't show well, once I prime them then it will show better. This is the first pass at making them so I may redo them as the checked parts are not that easy to replicate. My 63 Plymouth door panels were a bit more challenging.
  3. Here is the first attempt for the door panels, this one will be red on red.
  4. After looking at the door panels closely, I decided the original ones I made are not accurate, so I made new ones that are much closer to the 1:1 panels. I used the hood ornament for the emblems on the doors. I just received the dark metallic blue paint from MCW and the interior paint colors I had.
  5. Steve, your work is incredible and true enthusiasts of detail and accuracy. You always give us inspiration to move up to the next level to make models what they should be replicating the 1:1 cars. Looking forward to your completion of this build.
  6. Raoul, yes. I added the door frames and new vent windows to make it a base sedan.
  7. My wallet is safe from Round 2 once again, nothing there for me. Although the garbage truck does look nice and it's new (holy moly! Did I say new from Round2?). It gives me a chance to save money for Revell's and Moebius' new kits.
  8. Here's an update on my 63 Johan Plymouth that is back on the bench with my 63 Dodge. Finally got the door panels near completion and made adjustments to the interior to fit the body and chassis but more mods are needed. I will have my paint booth done soon in order to prime everything and see what finishing touches are needed. This one has been many years on and off on the bench, but too many moves have stopped the progress. I finally have a cool workshop so my projects can hopefully get finished.
  9. Here's an update on my 63 Dodge. I have modified the dashboard to the base model and some detail. Fitted the Lindberg chassis with no issues, just 1/16"trimmed off the front edge, finished the headlight buckets. I added some bits of plastic at the edge of the body to support the chassis. Here's a mock up with Fireball Model Work's Mopar wheel kit, but that will may change later on. Thanks
  10. I think that grille in the parts pack is for a 62 Dodge. Very different. Thanks
  11. Beautiful workmanship and unique choice. Thanks for the inspiration.
  12. Started a new project to add to my early Mopars. I had a 63 Polara convertible with a broken windshield and an old Plymouth body's hardtop, so its was a perfect project to create a detailed 63 Ramcharger Dodge, the missing Mopar in my projects. The body has been dechromed, new body panels scribed, headlights buckets added and modified the rear taillight panel for the base model, needing more refinement. I will be using a Lindberg kit for the chassis and engine components. New door panel are next and the dashboard modified. I don't have a 3D printer so I am looking for someone who had one to help with the speaker grille and will help my other 62-63 Mopars. I am missing a hood and front grille/bumper. Hope you like this one.
  13. The price reflects an inaccurate blob of plastic. $17 bucks is too high especially since there are no good parts to salvage.
  14. Karl I have a very clean Modelhaus 70 442 hood if you want it, I can sell it to you. PM if you're interested and I'll send you a pic.
  15. At some point, we have to draw a line on feasibility on the prices for old kits. Very few have the disposible resources to buy at this price.
  16. Steve Here's a great example: the 69 Cuda was short on accuracy such as the grille, interior and chassis, this has been one of my favorite Mopars. So, am I going to wait for a new more detailed version...no. we have been blessed with some great kits over the last 20 years or so. I have working on my Cuda using a 71 Duster donor car to make an accurate 440 Cuda. I had a 3D grille and taillight panel made and made new door panels for a better platform interior. It just happened that Joseph at Fireball made the 440 Cuda hood scoops. Here are some pics of the work in progress. I rest my case.
  17. Once this kit is out, who ever is crazy enough to buy a kit at that price, will be very sorry he or she spent their money wastefully. When Steve G built his beautiful 68 R/T having an accurate grille and interior made for him, I started to hunt for an original kit only to find junk for a couple hundred bucks. But with this news, I am in my glory. And if the new kit is sub par by any means, well then Steve is my inspiration to make an accurate R/T. Just like I do with my older kits, bashing newer kits for more accuracy makes tge hobby fun. After all, we are model builders who are easily inspired by the great builders in this hobby and the actual vehicles. I have been critical of Round2 but they are righting their ship. Hopefully more to come in the future
  18. Time for me to eat crow. I have been critical of Round 2 for their old reissues and overlooking new tools such as the 68 R/T. I have to buy these new tools to put my money where my mouth is. It's nice to see plans for some current vehicles as well! Sometimes it pays to be a squeaky wheel. Hats off to Round 2.

  20. Oh boy, oh boy! I cant wait for these to come out. Been waiting for the 65 Coronet since the original was never re-issued. Moebius has a great record for picking new subjects we have been wanting. THANK YOU DAVE!!!!
  21. Love it. Thanks Joseph for what you do for our hobby.
