55 Chevy Stepside

Stance is good. What's up with the engine though? -
Also, setting the suspension up will be done before I do the engine so I can get the chassis sent off to not hold anything up
-
I am ok with getting just the parts I have requested. I have over a dozen of these and some have been robbed of parts so if needed I can take what I need from my stash. That way the body can get where it needs to be etc
-
Haha. 15" wheels. My car has 15" brakes....
-
Yup, as I stated earlier I can mock up all the suspension and exhaust then I will break it all down and send it to be painted and someone else can assemble it. I will need the chassis, exhaust, all front and rear suspension and the wheels and tires.
-
I want that exact dark blue with the yellow to red stripe combo. Think it will look killer slammed on those sweet rims we have. BUT I can live with the combo Casey likes

I cannot post a picture or they would condemn my model room lol -
I did say earlier I could mock it all up and send it to whoever wants to paint it and assemble it as the engine won't take me long. But I am good with just the engine too.
-
No problem. We know who is putting this thing in the weeds yet? Lol
-
I will need the exhaust to make it fit the headers but I have several chassis here
-
I'm all good with the med met blue combo. Grabber is overdone. Let's build a car that walks softly but carries a big stick. Which I shall provide once the engine arrives : )
-
I like the blue too. I figure that stripe on our type of build would put it over the top! Makes you look twice for sure
-
If I remember right, the instructions show what stripes were available with what colors for a stock build. My vote goes to grabber green or the met grabber green for 71 is a bit nicer I'm really ok with any combo lol
-
Just an idea but what about grabber green with the lazer stripe in the pic. Black trim where the chrome was. Body color bumpers. Then gun metal wheel centers. Along with those do the grille mesh and trunk inserts in gun metal instead of black. Black int with cf door inserts and maybe a grabber green roll bar to get some color inside. Think it would look sinister yet be colorful

I just found a pic of med met blue with the yellow to red lazer stripe. That's my vote. Talk about catching the eye! Pic coming of that combo
-
I would be willing to do chassis mockup to set ride height and stuff I kind of need the exhaust anyway to mate it to headers correctly anyway. Then I can send that stuff to whoever wants to paint, detail and build itEngine won't take me long and since I have built this kit so many times I know I can get it low. Up to you guys...
-
They have the same seats in both kits. Let's just go nice stockish interior. It builds up nice, less complicated that way. What colors are we going with anyway?
-
For what it's worth, on my brown one I used the saleen seats in front. Put in the roll bar and deleted the rear seat. In it's place I used the sub boxes and amps from the pro street Lincoln kit. Zero modifications needed and it looked good I thought

Revell 1990 Mustang LX with increased headroom.

I am using my stack as donors for the mpc cars, the anny, pace and cobra. Chassis fit like a glove. I am patiently waiting for this new casting -
The exposed lights are from the Torino cobra version which is what my touring car and the base model are built off. All totaled I have done 7 of these kits so I know the quirks. Lol I do not believe anyone makes the exposed light 70-1 grille. It's alot different from the cobra grille. I may have to try that
-
I will get pics of my twister special up soon too. My next Torino will be a version of that boss nine one above
-
One more for today. This one is pro touring obviously. Rear was mini tubbed. Seats from a saleen, frowns suspension swapped in from same saleen.
