  1. There is something very rewarding making a model of your present or past cars and trucks. The paint finish looks great, and I like the engine and wheel upgrades.
  2. Beautiful looking paint work. The engine is nicely detailed as well.
  3. A good description of the kit with the green car on the box is in the latest magazine issue. I think the main difference that was pointed out in the review had to do with the carb/manifold and the hood. Nothing to keep you from building it and I'm going to pick one up myself based on the review.
  4. Great theme. Like all of the extra details in the trunk and interior. Nice to see the old flat 6 get detailed.
  5. Great looking paint and color. Cleanly detailed trim and interior.
  6. Great detail and really like the paint work.
  7. Looks great. Maybe another Flat Head engine?
  8. Remember seeing these "Parking Lot Carnivals" every summer. Used to pick up some spending money helping them setup and take down the rides. I remember looking at some of the fasteners used and thinking I'm not going on any of these rides.
  9. You might want to mention this conversation and their offer along with any written correspondence with their Human Resorces Office just for the record. Not saying they are, but I know of some instances in the past where a company situation that sounds like yours has used some creative ways to eliminate employees from the acquired company.
  10. To add insult to injury they used the cowboy belt I was wearing and then beat me like a drum with it. What used to be called "Corporeal Punishment" is now classified as "Child Abuse". I guess I was just a slow learner as to what I could get away with.
  11. Please share any pictures from the show.
  12. Please post any pictures you may take.
  13. Please share any pictures anyone takes.
  14. Would appreciate seeing any pictures.
  15. Beautiful looking paint color and finish. Wood bed floor looks great. Saw how you did the interior in your build and like how it is detailed. The '56 Ford big window pickups were one of Fords better ideas.

Great looking finishes and detailing. I like the stance.
  17. Both the paint and the changes to the body are outstanding looking. Looks like a full sized kustom show car.
  18. That may be a big seller if GM would only build it.
  19. Looks like it was abandoned there. The right front looks like a space saver spare.
  20. I should have asked what year model of Chevrolet engine you are trying to represent. The V8 engines in the '55 thru around '58 were a darker shade of red and sort of dull looking.
  21. Great attention to the fine details replicating your friend's car.
  22. #1 choice would be to visit an auto supply store and they probably would have Chevrolet Engine Red spray paint. There are several ideas used by members here on what they use for red paint for a Chevrolet engine. I usually use either Tamiya TS-86 Pure Red for a spray paint or X-7 red in brush paint. Testors used to offer a brush paint that they listed as Chevrolet Engine paint but may be hard to find now. I'm sure there will be othewrs that will offer some other options to consider.
  23. Body colors? Era of the color you want to duplicate? Body or engine color?
  24. If you haven't already, check the O2 sensor since that is not an uncommon issue.
  25. I like the idea of this build and the way you integrated the boom in the back. I understand that more than a few of these cars wound up being converted to more commercial uses since they were beefier than most light trucks of the day.
