  4. Great looking finish on the body. Like the engine details and the wheels and tires. Your girlfriend looks a little scary, but I'm sure she was just muggy for the camara.
  5. Beautiful looking paint colors and finish. I love the pin striping, just like the old days. The trim is all cleanly done. Like the air cleaner you used, looks like a lot of engine upgrades this way.
  6. Nice looking body style. You mentioned an A arm front suspension. You could use suspension parts from either the '56 or '57 Revell Chevrolet kits or look at some of the Chevell kits as well.

  8. Try some lowering blocks in the rear to make it sit level. I think that would look best with the skirts. Now if you want to experiment a little you could see if you like the look as a tail dragger, lower in the rear. My vote would be level but do it however it looks best to you.
  9. You may not agree, but I would remove the skirts, but that is something you probably really want, and leave the ride height as is.
  10. I think with the advent of 3D printing a builder can create whatever body style they want. As Ace mentioned, building the molds and creating a new kit isn't cheap and a company has to turn a profit and that means selling many kits from the tooling. Many here are 3D printing some interesting body styles along with a lot of other components, and body styles that may not sell enough kits for a mainstream company to turn a profit.
  11. I think if you have the room in your workshop for the larger booth, I think you would be happier in the end. Besides having more room to move around whatever you're painting there are other things you might not first think of. You are going to use a lot of filters, and the larger booths usually use a common household size filter that are a lot less expensive than the specialized filters usually found in the smaller units.
  12. I'm not sure if the problem you are having is the same as I encountered, but I'll share what I did that worked for me and you can see if it is any help for you. The body sides are such that they hold the chassis very tightly in place. I have used wooden coffee stir sticks as ply bars to spread the body apart enough for the chassis to drop in. As Plowboy mentioned, starting at the rear seems to work the best. The rear quarters behind the wheel well openings are where I have started to use the wooden pry bars. The next area is the front edge of the rear wheel well opening. Once past that the chassis will usually slip in until you get to the front wheel well opening. The problem here seems to be the front edge of the wheel opening and the forward section of the front fenders. The chassis and inner fender wells are wide and getting the front portion of the fenders spread wide enough to get chassis in place. You mention some problems getting the chassis down inside the body. A couple of places that I have had problems is the interference between the distributor and the firewall, especially if you have used a larger aftermarket distributor. Some other areas to check are the top of the frame and the inner fender clearance, upper A arms and inner fenders, The radiator core support usually needs some reshaping where it meets the inside of the fenders. I do a lot of trial fitting of the chassis and body before any final painting is done as I have often had to do some sanding and reshaping until everything lines up.

  19. The Fleetline is my favorite of the three body styles Galaxy offered, would love to find another one. Your finish is very realistic looking, and I like the added fender trim. The full lines and spark plug wires also look great.

  22. As part of you purchase or trade negations should include transportation agreements as well. I agree that when shipping any type of model that a proper box should be used. Even then there is always the chance that it may be used as a football during work brakes or as a chock for the tires on the truck.
  23. Great engineering on the engine. The body and bed look great, and the paint finish is super smooth. I like the OEM color shades and the clean chrome trim.

    Looks great. In your pictures the red looks a lot like the shade Chevrolet was using at the time that was sort of an Orange/Red anyway.
  25. Great stock appearing Mustang. Ford used some great colors at that time, and this was one of them. Very cleanly detailed trim.
