    1965 Chevy II

Like the clean looking paint and trim details of this more basic model Chevy II. This is what would have been far more common seen trim level.

    Trans-am

Great looking paint work and nice clean trim detailing.
  3. Like the front suspension setup. The wheels and tires look great, might want to check the directional tread pattern on the passenger side tires before final assembly. Kinda like the body and fender colors depending on what you're wanting this to look like.
  4. Liking the body work so far. As to the color, that is a personal thing, and I would suggest painting it whatever color you like.
  5. Hope you also saved the Mercury tail lights from the chrome tree.
  6. I read in some enthusiast magazine that there even may be a chance of this body style being made available with an ICE power plant. Beautiful looking body lines on this one.
  7. You are correct about the shape of the '34 pickup I had owned. The grill shape even looked like a '32 on the top and the bottom shape was more of a square shape. I think the point I had in mind was that in that era so many different trim items and other accessories would be supplied from so many different sources it would be hard to tell what came from the Ford assembly line or Ford dealership or just another after-market supplier.
  8. My wife and I went to dinner one evening in a nearby college town. As we parked the car, we saw a young couple walking on the sidewalk arm in arm. They were both on their cell phones talking as they walked. I asked my wife if she thought that they may be talking to each other?
  9. I'm not an expert on the fine details of these early Fords, but I have owned a few years ago. The one in particular that come to mind was a '34 Ford pickup. While it had somethings done too it before I got it, it was still pretty stock in the area of the cab and the fenders. My truck had a single spare in the right front fender, which I didn't like and later removed. The fender had a "well" for the tire to sit into and the top of the tire was below the drivers' sight line, much as you have done on your model. This brings me to the picture you have of a sedan delivery. My thought is that maybe this particular vehicle had the spare added later and this mounted the spare higher on the side of the truck and with a very small well for the tire to sit in. Another thing to remember with many of the cars and trucks from this era is that there were many changes made thought the model run.
  10. Besides the paint finish, the excellent fine detailing on the engine and interior look great. The background setting in the pictures go a long way in the models appearance as well.
  11. Beautiful looking paint colors and finish. The opening driver's door looks great. Many younger builders may not appreciate or know about the history of the Hudson automobile. They were considered a very high line car thru the early '50's. They used a 305 cu, in, engine with a twin carb option that was very dominate in NASCAR racing until the V-8 engines from the other manufacturers surpassed their performance. As a child I remember a few wealthier families in the neighborhood who had Hudsons.
  12. The finish on the body looks great. The black portion of the body, is it the original kits black plastic or paint? The flame paint job is really well done, and the polishing has a very smooth surface look between the colors.
  13. Other than maybe a little reshaping of the motor mounts there shouldn't be any problems. The exhaust manifolds or headers may take a little tweaking just like on a 1:1 car.
  14. Going into my local model shop Monday in the AM. They might not have it in yet, but I want to get a coupe to build. The kit represents the RT model, and it should be easy enough to make a widebody edition or any of the others using this kit. Owning a '19 Charger GT with AWD I'll be doing a little modification on this kit to build something more like mine.
  15. Great job combining the two different kits for this build. The cab portion has a finish like you would expect on a real work truck and the bed looks the part as well.

    Chevy 2 Gasser

    Great clean looking build.

    '65 Chevy II

Like the really clean assembly and trim. The color shifting paint looks good on this as well.
  18. Great looking build, and I like the original style of your build. I would have guessed the dual side mount spares as the "big change".

    1970 Chevelle

Beautiful looking color and paint finish. The wheels and stance look great.
  20. Nice smooth looking paint work. Remember when it was common to see different wheel designs between the fronts and the rears. Great looking stance.
  21. Looks great and the color looks good. Good engine details. Each build adds to our knowledge and modeling skills. We all learn from one another from time to time.

    Olds Hurst

The build looks great, and I like the rally wheels. Long decals like the Hurst decals are hard to work with. I like the clean look without with the color on this.
  23. They both look great. I'm partial to the red colored one.
  24. I had forgotten about this build. On thew stance I would lower the front if possible. Should that not work, and you raise the rear suspension, it wouldn't be by very much.
  25. Look at Ace Garage's post about EV vehicles. I'm not a big fan of EV's for myself and watching the video enplanes some of the reasons why. I think the information in the video gives a very fair explanation of the present technology and allows someone to see if an EV is a wise choice for themselves. They do have their place but are not necessarily the right choice for everyone's needs.
