More disappointed than shocked anymore.

Very cleanly built. Like the interior details and the paint work. I'm not well versed in this style of build but know great craftsmanship when see it.

Great looking paint work and interior. Your extra efforts on the drive train and exhaust look good.

I agree with everyone on the weathering. Like the look of a rig that would be used by someone funding their own race car without a lot of high dollar sponsors.
-
The side view picture gives a much better idea of the seat height and look like what one would imagine the seat height would be.

Back to how your crockery is stored on the shelf. There seems to be a fear that if say a cup or drinking glass is stored upright some bug or small furry critter is going to crawl inside. On the other hand, with all this foot traffic on the shelf, storing something upside down would put the edge where your mouth would be when drinking, where these dirty little feet have been walking about.

Great looking Corvette. The aftermarket wheels look good, and the chrome trim is cleanly done.
-
The engine choice looks great, you can almost imagine an early street sleeper. Like the stance with the slicks.

I agree with everyone else on the paint and trim. Always enjoy your clean OEM build style.

Great looking paint and detailing.

Great looking color selection. Like the stance and the way you detailed the engine.

Beautifull looking Chevelle. There is something special about building a model of a car from your past. My new ride in '66 was an Impala SS also a 396 4 speed car. You have a great looking paint finish and the interior and engine have a realistic look to them.

Beautiful looking build. All of the fine detailing on the body trim looks very realistic. -
Beautiful looking paint color and finish. The white stripes look better than the black one with the interior colors. Like the engine and under hood detailing.

I have had similar interior fit problems with a few kits. Found that narrowing the dash width a little at the meeting point between the interior side panels and the dash have gone a long way toward eliminating the problem. Each kit will be different in this area, but these seems to help a lot regardless of the kit you're building.

Glad to see you are getting back to your modeling bench. The chrome foil looks great.

I guess I can understand your disgust with the appearance of the bumpers on the Camero, but you should remember the constraints put on all manufactures at the time. The Feds. where requiring 5 and 10 mph impact bumpers on all passenger cars at the time. The designers were charged with hiding these "Cow Catcher" bumpers, for lack of a better term, and still make the car look good. The reality was that the 1:1 Camaro was still a great seller for Chevrolet dealers and turned a profit for GM. Almost across the board vehicles from this era all looked like they had a tremendous under bite and had a full seat of their pants from the rear. Not everyone will agree but considering the requirements of the manufacturers at the time I think they did as well as could be expected with what they were given to work with.

The seats look much better with the lower backs. They still look a little high in the pictures, may be different in person. Like the extensive changes to the interior. The bulkhead gives the interior a more realistic look.

I have found the best solution for presents for my wife. 1: ask her what she wants. 2: let her pick it out, be sure of colors and such. 3: Live happily ever after.

Not you specifically, but for everyone offering ideas for the heating and bending of plastic rods to make exhaust and what nots. Some of the ideas put forth, while valid, were on the relatively expensive side. Being a bit of a cheap skate, I try and find lower cost alternatives.

We had one of those in the basement by the drain in the floor. Also had a solar drier in the back yard. That was pretty much the way it was done.

Next time you go to the market or hardware store just pick up one of those lighters designed to start everything from the BBQ to candles. Gun like trigger with an adjustable flame and a flexible nozzle. They're usually on sale for $1.99 or so and last a long time. We BBQ a lot and one or two will last the whole summer even with all the candles my wife seems to like lighting all the time.

Wow, it's back. Forgotten all about this build. Look forward to seeing what you try next on this.

Beautiful looking GTO's. I don't build with the attention to detail you do, but I understand how hard it would be not to start wiring and plumbing stuff. Sometimes just making sure the paint colors on the engine and the molded details in the engine compartment are correct can go a long way.
