Model Car Spectacular - Perth, Western Australia July 13 2025

Like the way the display tables are set up with raised teres so that the models on the back of the display tables are more visible. -
Great looking black paint job and the interior color and finish are a nice contrast. Like the wheels and the big disc brakes.
-
Like the Gasser style and the paint color and finish look great. Once you start modifying a basic model everything seems to snowball from there.
-
Like the Mercury taillights and smooth bumpers.
-
Love the color, what is it and from whom? Like the wheels and low-profile tires.
-
Great looking Duce and color scheme.
-
Beautiful paint finish, especially in the sun. Like the color and complementary interior. Well detailed Hemi engine.
-
Beautiful paint colors and finish, like the design to accent the body. Having built a few of these, opening the doors and creating a Rumble Seat had to be quite and undertaking. Extensive interior work. The detailing of the engine looks great.
-
Great looking paint finish and like the flames. Good body fit with the font end.

Bronco to go under cover….

Killer looking body color. Like the chassis. -
Some major plastic surgery going on here.

The front fender and rocker panel chrome trim were an extra cost trim option and often an aftermarket type of accessory. You could reproduce the trim with different sized Plastruct or Evergreen styrene strips.

Do you also have 1:1 project cars?
espo replied to ctruss53's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Don't recall ever seeing a PT/Pickup before, like it a lot. Depending on the cost of a new cam, weather OEM or something better, wouldn't it be worthwhile to replace it since the engine is already apart than maybe had to do it all over again if or when the cam lobe goes flat? Been my limited experience that once the hard surface is gone on a cam they can det eriorate rapidly. -
Have owned a Pontiac GTP Grand Prix with the Eaton super charger on the 3.8-liter V-6. Great car and fast when you wanted it to be. Smooth acceleration when driven normally and instantaneous power when you wanted it. Have driven a few factory Turbo Charged cars and found the response to throttle input to be lazy and then goes like an ON-OFF switch when you put your foot in it.

1926 RANCHERO: What if Henry greenlighted the Ranchero in 1926?
espo replied to Claude Thibodeau's topic in Model Cars
Beautiful smooth body and paint. Imagin if Henry had offered such a body back in the day, this is the sort of Rod or Custom we would see a lot of. Great wheel choice and stans. -
I bought this exact model years ago at a local car show. The wheels in your picture look like the Pegasus wheels or could even be a representation of the Coy wheels. While the 1:1 car used a 5-lug wheel who's to say someone couldn't put some 6-lug brake drums from a pickup on there. My model also has 6-lug wheels on it.

Sounds like you're already well into the diagnostics of your problem already then.

1951 Nash Sedan Delivery

Sorry to hear about your wildlife disaster in your display area. Like the body design here and your interior clutter adds to the look. -
Beautiful looking build and design. The paint finish and color look amazing. Like the engine detailing.
-
Great looking body finish and color, like the flame decals. Clean looking engine. The rear tires might be a little overdone but think about how many times you have seen such a 1:1 car with more tire than it could ever really overpower.
-
I also remember your inspiration for this build and think it looks great. Smooth body line transitions on the spoiler and bumpers. Paint and interior all look like the ad as does the engine.
-
Great looking Street Rod. Like the way you did the interior and dash. The painted engine with the minimal chrome trim looks good.
-
Beautiful looking Corvette and like the removable top. The color looks great with the black trim.
-
The wiring detail looks much better than the kits lines and ridges.
