  1. Beautiful looking Plymouth wagon. I remember seeing the color treatment on the front fenders on the top-of-the-line Plymouths that year. A friend of mine had a base two door when we were in school, and it didn't have any trim at all. You have a very clean and realistic build style and it's nice to see some of these old kits built to your standards.
  2. Beautiful looking finishes, and the wheels look amazing.
  3. I watched Bad Chad the other night, I had seen about two of his shows last year and was surprised to see that he was back. Style and design are just not something I like, but I'm sure there're some that find it interesting.
  4. Really clean looking build. The colors for the body and the interior look great together.
  5. Great looking paint finish and the trim looks good. I like the details on the interior.
  6. Great looking color and graphics. I like the way you detailed the undercarriage and engine. You are correct about MoPar and the way they marketed these models back in the day. The Trans Am race series was very popular and they were trying to simulate the body markings as well as the exhaust. They also had G60x15 rear Good Year Polyglass tires and E60x15s on the front as standard equipment along with the exhaust system. I wouldn't know if the exhaust added any horsepower, but it sure sounded like it. I was working for Good Year at that time and was at one of the stores in Riverside Ca. When they were racing at the old Riverside Raceway, we would have a couple of display race cars in the parking lot in front of the store. I got pull them out in the morning and tuck them into the service bay at night. We had the yellow Swed Savage #77 car pictured above, I just wanted to go AWOL with it, but I also valued my job.
  7. I like the softer looking color. Should really standout with a good clear coat.
  8. On your T&R upholstery issue. Just a thought, Plastruct has a part #91519 that is an O gauge shed siding. I have used it on a few upholstery jobs and in 1/25th it looks more like the tight 2" rolls. Comes in a 7" by 11" sheet, so you would get a lot of use out of it. The sheet is thin enough that it would easily make the bend in your rear seat. You mentioned dearching the rear springs but still not low enough for you. You could cut the differential from the leaf springs and remount it with small spacers, much like the lowering blocks that were popular then and, in some cases, now. I like the added rear window trim as it tones down the large rear window opening.
  9. Your "Old Men Yelling at the clouds" made me laugh, and that describes me, I guess. You mentikon the shops that do the wraps on cars. The local tint shop that I have used for years has all their work trucks wrapped in different colors. The one I like is a late model Ford with a wrap that looks like a blue chromes finish.
  10. This has the same front end as the one I had. The rear fenders were shorter and ended just after the arch of the fender with a flat area on the back side that had a mount for the rear tail lights. The scoop under the rear window also provided a center mounting for the license plate.
  11. Great looking paint finish and this shade of blue looks good on this body. Your issues with the mounting of the bumpers and grill are not an uncommon problem. Consider adding some additional glue mounting tabs when this is a problem. I like the stock appearance of your build.
  12. Great looking paint finish and I like the matching trailer.
  13. Interesting looking color. What did you use? I'm a big fan of this kit and have built a couple. This build makes me want to do another one.
  14. Might as well hold onto the radio. As you mentioned, the possibility of a future project where it could be used. You may not be able to get what you paid for it anyway, so I'd just tuck it a way for that future project.
  15. I'm also not a fan of the black painted wheels. I blame this on age as much as anything else. We used to paint our steel wheels black, or some other color because that's all we could afford. Painting a perfectly good mag wheel black and lose all the detail of the wheel just doesn't make sense. I understand this is the new "polished wheels" look of today, but I still don't get it. I blame some of this on the OEM manufactures since this seems to be the style on many of the higher end cars and trucks today. Last year we got a new Jeep Cherokee Trail Hawk for my wife. They wanted an extra $900 for the painted wheels, which we passed on. They finally dealer traded for a Cherokee that would work for her, without the wheels painted. These are the same whees but with a polished lip and raised trim parts of the wheel and the rest is sort of a dark gray color at no extra cost.
  16. I know Goffer has a few sheets with contingency sponsors on them.
  17. I would also be interested in a Baja kit. I had one years ago with the head lights mounted in the center under the hood. Had an 1800 engine with the Holly Bug Spray carb and the Empi exhaust with the glass pack and the stinger option. Used to spend some quality time at Pismo Beach back when I lived in that area.
  18. I like the color scheme and the little details on the engine.
  19. Great looking paint work, just looking at the reflection in the finish. I like the Viper engine, sometimes cleaner is better looking.
  20. I find the grill work under the rear window interesting. Sort of a flow thru ventilation ?
  21. This is the first time I have seen these hinges and they really look in scale. You mention not looking forward to opening the driver's door. I wouldn't blame you if you kept it closed. You have the passenger door opened to show the interior and you may lose some of the body's structural integrity if you open the driver's door as well.
  22. I like it. Sounds like your folks have a great sense of humor.
  23. For men that would be lid and seat in the upright position, with the option of just the lid depending. I like the heated seat idea for late evening visits during the winter months.
  24. From the looks of this now you would never guess what you had to start with. Great paint and all the little trim details.
  25. Looks great. I know how much this kit fought you, but you did win.
