  1. I was interested by your mention of your 2.8 Firebird and its lack of performance. You are correct about the performance in that car. When my wife graduated from Sac Stat we got her a new Cavalier Z something with a 5-speed. That thing was a little terror and the front end would break lose if you got on it very hard from a stop. She put well over 100k on it and it was still not using any oil or loss of performance when we sold it. I could hear her coming down the street and she wasn't even on it, sounded like an XK120 Jaguar.
  2. Looks like a great kit. Very detailed.
  3. This is another kit where AMT put a lot of extras in. I hope Round 2 does the same. At least you know they'll have some great looking Tires.
  4. The original issue of the fastback included many extras. A lot of NASCAR inspired equipment and some minor custom options. They also included several different wheel and tire sets. I look forward to picking one up when they are released.
  5. A great looking project. With all of the opening doors are you going to do anything with the interior ?
  6. Very impressive paint finish and the foiling looks good from here.
  7. With those Skis it's a good thing they included the Stretcher and Crutches. Do you know if the Canoe is included in the reissue of the Pontiac Bonneville ?
  8. The rolling Chassis is a model all by it's self. And thanks for the link. That is a beautiful looking '40. I'm a little financially embarrassed right now so this would be out of my reach.
  9. Great looking '32. Nice color and paint work. I like that style of wheels. The Arden head engines always look almost like a Hemi unless you know what you're looking at.
  10. This is really look'n good. I really like it. Now I want to find one.
  11. Looks good. I just remembered another possibility for the Cross Fire Injection, it may be also in the Pontiac Firebird kit of that same year model. All three of those cars shared engines at that time in the 1:1 world. I think it would have to be a Trans Am as that was sort of Pontiacs version of the Z-28.
  12. Great looking paint finish. This really looks like the picture you showed when you started this build.
  13. Your right, and I was trying to come up with something. The photo from the CHP Archives show the antenna mounted on the drivers side just below the C Pillar and above the rear fender. Maybe when they start letting us out of the house I'll look for something in the Doll House section at HL.
  14. Another great looking Pickup. Nice and clean build.
  15. Great looking Roadster Pickup. Just don't see enough of these in stock form.
  16. Great save from what it was. I like the new theme.
  17. Very nice clean looking build.
  18. I kike that interior, I'll have to look into getting one or two.
  19. Great looking collection. I even noticed a '77 Rally Sport in red and black. That was an interesting trim and color option that year.
  20. And thus the demise of the Ghetto Blaster. Technology marches on.
  21. I think you are correct. I was looking at the timing chain cover as well.
  22. To be sometimes carried upon ones shoulder as you walk down the street. It once was a thing.
  23. Great looking pickup. The stance and wheels are just right. I like your seat decals. Did you make the decals for the bed or do paint ?
  24. The engine is built stock with spark plug wiring added but with all the other parts of the engine compartment you wouldn't notice that. The chassis is also stock and detailed only using different shades of black and some dark metal colors.
  25. I have a couple of pictures I posted before I finished. The interior is much as it would be from the factory. I removed the clock and radio since the CHP cars wouldn't have them. I used the 2 way radio from the '48 Ford kit. This should be close to what was used but there really isn't anyway to know but it looks correct to me. The two lights on the real package tray represent what they used at the time. The red and amber lights would alternate flashing when needed. I used the spot lights that are from the Galaxie '48 Chevrolet kit. The driver's side is red an d the passenger side is clear.
