  1. I always enjoy looking at your Muscle Car builds. These are all very clean and well presented.
  2. The extensive detailing is outstanding on these builds. The shading of colors on the Mustang exhaust adds a great detail to the appearance.
  3. I got to follow your build on this and it turned out even better than I imagined it would. Besides the paint color and finish, the engine colors are very realistic as is the interior.
  4. Beautiful looking builds. I like the unusual colors on the '62 Corvette.
  5. Thank you for the information. Now if I can just convince my wife owes me something from Christmas.
  6. You might consider using the leading edge and a portion of the hood. You could use just enough of the top side of the hood to cover the radiator section and this could also hide the screw mountings as well.
  7. Very impressive frame and suspension upgrades. I remember this car from the magazine also. You mentioned widening the rear body panels. Can you share any additional information and or photos of what you did there ?
  8. Welcome to the forum. I have always liked how the 635 CSI looked . You have a great collection of high performance automobiles at your disposal. My only question is how you decide what to drive when you get up in the morning ?
  9. That is a great looking Photo Booth. I would like to get one of those also, depending on price of course, maybe you could tell us were to find that booth. The Show Boat '50 Ford is a great kit and had a lot of custom options. As I recall the Flat Head had optional aluminum heads and multiple carbs.
  10. I wonder if it ever dawned on them that someone my think if I took their dietary supplements I'm going to need an Ambulance ?
  11. While so many of use are discussing what to turn your Lark into, I would rather see what you can do to make this a better Lark, I.E. keep the body as is and try and make a better more detailed chassis. I don't recall ever seeing that kit and didn't even realize that Jo-Han made any snap kits. Live and learn I guess. I do like the looks of it but I would have used a more realistic wheel and tire size for myself. The built hardtop that I have is a little lighter shade of blue/green if that matters. The chassis is a screw on design and the design of the frame, front and rear suspension, and even the exhaust is well represented. My personal interest in the Lark is based on a very brief driving experiences in a couple of them. During my high school days I had a few different part time jobs so I would have money for dates and any personal entertainment I might want. One of those jobs was at a local service station back when they would do all of the basic maintains and light repairs rather than the dealerships. I would often be called upon to drive a customer home and back when we were working on their cars. Several of these customers had new or late model Larks. Even on these short drives I got a lasting impression that these were well built and Studebaker had a very long history of quality and reliability to owners. So I'm still impressed by these cars and bought this one with the idea of someday replicating one of these fine automobiles. Thank you for your interest and the information about the convertible.
  12. I like the concept and the paint and clean assembly.
  13. Great looking builds and I like the paint finishes. So just what is that little brown car based on ?

    1968 Mustang GT

Great looking Mustang. I think we all have had a few cars we which we had kept.
  15. Great looking color and the decals laid down nicely.
  16. The body work looks great. Blending the fade away fenders into the body can be a challenge.
  17. They both look great. The Karmann Ghia looks real clean and the Starliner has always been a favorite.
  18. Great looking builds. The paint treatment on the '58 Corvette is unusual and I like it and the '61 Impala.

    bbowser 2019

Beautiful looking builds. The Motor Cycle looks real interesting. I've never built one but this one looks very enticing .
  20. This could be fun. You just don't see a lot of these kits done as anything but an early Chevrolet.
  21. Welcome to the forum. I echo Oldmopars suggestion on the Tamiya masking tape. I've always had my best luck using their tape and they offer many widths and it doesn't leave any adhesive residue. You have done some nice looking distressing of the exhaust and some of the frame, maybe add a little to the underside of the body. Your paint finish looks good and the assembly of the frame and suspension as well as the engine look very cleanly done. How do you plan to finish the chrome trim ? A suggestion if you're going to use Bare-Metal foil, they also make a gold colored foil that works great for the inert in the side trim. The finish is just a little bit shinier than the 1:1 but a very light brush coat of semi gloss paint tones it down.
  22. I can understand your feelings for the Miata but the rest of these cars have led a hard life also.
  23. The car is super cool and if only I could win the lottery it would be mine. As for the rear view mirror display , interesting but I question the day to day functionality. After having driven several Pontiac Grand Prix's with the factory Heads Up Display systems, in my mind this would take you line of sight to far away from the direction in which you're driving. The General Motors system was done much like a fighter jets heads up display. This projects the information on the windshield and the location of where it appears can be adjusted to the drivers preference. While this is an interesting and a far less complex way to do it, you're still going to have to take your eyes off the road to read it, not a good idea at any speed let alone what this vehicle is capable off.
  24. I'm going to want to watch whatever you do on this. I have a 1962 Lark (the license plate on the rear bumper says 1962) that I'm sure must be a JoHann. I bought it many years ago from an Estate Sale and it looks like a promo in construction and is molded in a light green color. I bought it assembled nothing else came along with it. I have put off doing anything with it not knowing what chassis to use and other projects have been of more interest. I plan to follow along on your build. The side view of this little Lark looks just like the picture of the black colored Lark in the picture from ChrisBcritter, cute handle.
