  1. It must be because of the mini bike.
  2. Great looking travels. I like seeing the variety of Post Offices.
  3. A few layers of clear and call it done.
  4. Man I'm sorry to hear that. Nothing makes your day like messing up a fresh paint job.
  5. I have used several different decals from them for interiors and they always lay down perfectly. The interior decals are very thin and extreme care when handling is a must but the results is worth a little extra effort.
  6. Sorry to hear that, but that is what I thought.
  7. The Willys Gasser will be nice to have again. Not as good as the Revell offerings but there're many of years apart when it comes to the time they were developed. The Lift looks interesting to me. I have to wonder just how many COPO Chevelle's were ordered with a vinyl roof ?
  8. A lot of work went into this build. Turned out beautifully.
  9. I like how you did the paint treatment. All of the other body and trim modifications work well together.
  10. The hood looks perfect. I like the "post" body style.
  11. Looks like the frame is going to be a great feature of your build. I agree with misterNNL on the additional frame work. This will also make the frame seem wider also.
  12. The colors and the stripes look great. My personal all time favorite is the Go Mango orange.
  13. That looks great. If someone is looking for an unusual color just visit the Nail Polish isle.
  14. Is this part of your initial cleaning of a new model, or was there perhaps a painting problem??
  15. A little known fact about the Aztek , or maybe everyone knows by now. I worked in a Pontiac dealership when this monstrosity was unleashed on the general public. I had asked the Zone Rep. from Pontiac "what were they thinking". His story line was that it was a committee design. Pontiac Division had work shops with non GM employees asking what they were looking for in a new car. AS it turned out a majority of the people in the work shops were very early twenties since that was their target buyers. The problem is by the time they put it all together and brought it to market it cost to much for the target buyers and it was during the plastic cladding era at GM and so it looked the way it looked because no one had a clear vision of what it should be. I was quoted as saying "that if he had a dog that looked like that he would shave his bottom and teach him to walk backwards". The Zone Drone was not impressed.
  16. Some GM cars I think may do well: '55 to '57 Oldsmobile, '57 Pontiac Safari or Hard Top. '57 Buick Hard Top with the 3 piece rear window and a '54 thru '66 Cadillac Coupe DE Ville.
  17. Find a hobby shop that carries Plastruct products. They offer many different pattern sheets of plastic.
  18. My Grandparents had the same coffee maker. I'd check around old Antique and Consignment places.
  19. A friend of mine bought a new '63 Corvette. I got to drive it for a very short time one evening. That big obstruction in the middle of the rear window was bad. I'm 6'2'', I may have been 6'3' back then. You really don't have a real good field of vision out of the rear window on the C3 fastback anyway and while I like the looks of the split window I can see why owners of the '63's were chopping the post out of these cars.
  20. It would make sense that as a true race car the whole front end would lift off. As a road car would you want to change that? With the paint job you have on this, it looks amazing, I'd just let it go and remember you have to lift off the entire front body work to check the oil and water.
  21. It sounds as if we both like a good cup of Coffee in the morning. I order all of mine from Peet's in San Francisco with whole beans and grind my own as needed. I have tried the percolator method before and experienced some of the same problems. Mine had two different metal baskets neither of which worked for me. I have gone back to the old drip method and it just seems to work the best for me anyway.
  22. I don't know if you watch the 10 O'clock News, but this wing nut, from of all places KCMO, got a snout full of meth and decided he should load up all his gun powder and a few fire arms and go have dinner with our President. Virginia's finest clocked him at over 130 MPH. According to the news he had several guns and a lot of ammo and plans to also visit the Pentagon while he was in town. Thank thanks to the Virginia authorities who stopped him, but it just goes to show there're is a lot people out there who are just ready to go off at any moment.
  23. You aren't by chance using a Mr. Coffee maker ?? I have had the same problem with one several times and found it had to do with the top of the coffee pot. The top is supposed to allow the freshly brewed coffee to pass thru it and into the pot. This doesn't always happen as the top ages. Just leave the top off the pot while brewing and problem solved.
  24. I like the way you detailed the interior and under the hood. Very clean looking build.
