  1. Your front inner fenders are like what I was thinking. They look natural and give you the tire clearance you need. This is a great looking build and I enjoy watching your progress.
  2. Bill you need to check some of these on You Tube that don't end well. People bring down Silos and Trees on their cars and trucks not to mention houses both theirs and the guy next door.
  3. I'd experiment with the paint you have and are familiar with. Then start to trying other paint products and see what works best for you. Every builder here has products they like to work with and they are not all the same.
  4. Your paint work and your models have always been outstanding.
  5. OOO WOW, I think that maybe just a little beyond acceptable.
  6. I wouldn't let any of the issues with the fitment on this kit stop you as it is a great kit otherwise. I would suggest you follow the information that MrObsessive provided as I did. We are modelers and really where is the fun if you don't get to do a little modeling ? As for the front Grill, this is an area that you really want to trial fit before you get to far into the build. What I encountered is the back side of the headlight buckets were hitting the front radiator support. This gave the grill sort of an underbite look as the grill and bumper stood out to far. I ended up removing a lot of material from the back side of the headlight buckets, after everything was painted. Got no one to blame but myself for not practicing what I preach about test fitting. I think on my next one I'll see of the radiator support can't be moved back just a bit also to help in the fitment. Please post your build so we all may enjoy it.
  7. I really like how you build your muscle Cars. The Challengers all looks great, but I like the dark Red one the best. Very partial to the Monte Carlo both the model and the 1:1's. Don't get to see enough of the later model GTO's like the one you built. Good that everything else is coming together for you both.
  8. Great looking builds. I like the way you build to a very accurate appearance in your builds.
  9. All are great looking builds. I agree with you about the year end model show. I get a lot of inspiration from other builders and it's nice to see again models that I have watched go together in the past.
  10. Great color combinations. Very nice clean looking paint and interior both.
  11. I like the "shaved look", but as BigTallDad mentioned there is some differences with the emblems if your going for the showroom look. The picture of the Chevrolet lettering for the hood can be done with the decals in the kit you're building. The trunk lid had the Chevrolet emblem just above the License Plate on the trunk lid. The old AMT '55 Chevrolet kit has the perfect size and shape for that. The Revell '55 Bel Air kit may work but I have never checked that, so that may be another possibility. Revell offers a fairly nice 6 cylinder engine in some of its '50's era pick ups. From the outside the major difference would be the engine color as the passenger cars 6 was a medium Blue color with a semi gloss Black Air Cleaner.
  12. Great looking old pictures. I guess you don't want to over park in New York City. The parking ticket would be the least of your worries. Amazing how well some of these cars held up considering the weather conditions and the lack of protected parking. I enjoy seeing some of the prices of common everyday things like Gas.
  13. Reminds me of my neighbor down the street.
  14. This is why I'll look thru YouTube when I'm board. You just can't makeup some of the things you see people doing, and have someone there to record it. You just cant' fix stupid, but at least someone will put it up on YouTube.
  15. I think some of the most beautiful music ever written is played mostly at this time of year.
  16. I remember seeing these and others on YouTube on this subject. The men in these two videos seem to know what they're doing. Some of the others you just know it is not going to end well and it's like watching a train wreak in slow motion.
  17. Where did you get the Stealth Paint ?
  18. I really like this. Perfect color for the Custom look. I also like the engine and chassis detailing. I'll have to try the tape idea, it looks great.
  19. I missed the mention of the Post Apocalyptic aspect, I was focused on what looked like something out of WW 1.

    1925 T Bucket

Another great looking T-Bucket. The engine turned floor boards and the wood keg gas tank a nice touches.
  21. Great looking T-Bucket. The wood grain looks like Burlwood.
  22. Very nice clean looking build. Great color and paint work, and I like the setting for your pictures.
  23. I remember when you were building the Willis. I like your idea of a different drive train than the norm. Good luck to you and your wife "getting back to the land" as they say.
  24. All three of them look great. I'm including your 1:1 Trans Am.
  25. I primarily use Tamiya paints. For the most part I use their spray cans. I have thinned their bottle paints to use with my air brush. Also Model Master spray paints because of the color range offered. I will use Dupli-color primers when working with Resin bodies. Many builders here get much more involved with various brands and types of paints, but I think it's just what ever works best for you and gives you the finish you're looking for.
