  1. I have been using an expandable spice rack from BB&B and it fits against the back of my roll top and extends between the hang down drawers. I also have been using one of their plastic/rubber cutting boards for a work surface and with the small drip catch around the edge nothing rolls off the work area.
  2. Looks like a good DIY project so far.
  3. Give a guy a break this is still in the test fit stage anyway.
  4. A real eye catching exterior color combination. Your wheel and tire selection should look great.
  5. Nice looking paint work. I like the red line tires and wheels. The stance looks a little nose high, but pictures may have been taken before the engine was installed. What do you have in mind for the interior ?
  6. The wife was off today and suggested we go to breakfast and go shopping. She know she has me at eating breakfast out. So we roll out of the garage and the car shows the temp as it was inside the garage. The dash said it was 48 and by the time I got about four blocks from our house it settled at 14. besides the overcast sky's the wind is blowing at 15 to 20 mph, so ya it was a little cold this morning.

Great looking build. I like the way you detailed the engine and all the other under hood components. The side trim is as shinny as the bumpers. Those wheels look perfect on this car, not so much on the '56 Chevy.
  8. Great looking dioramas. I appreciate any pictures you can share. Besides looking at all the fine builds it is always interesting to see what others are building.
  9. I'm old enough to remember these when they first were released. They were cutting edge at the time when we didn't really know what that ment. The body shape and trim were very accurate and built up into some great looking models.
  10. With wind chills in the single digits it's colder than sour owl droppings.
  11. Cold enough for the lake to freeze over again and the blankety blank Geese are not all over the back yard.
  12. We had al most the same thing happen when our favorite Mexican Restaurant closed after the owner retired. We had been going there for over 20 years and the place was always jam packed. The new owners went in and did the usual clean up and paint. We went in just after the grand opening and got the same treatment as you did. We didn't realize the dinning area was so empty until we had waited for over an hour because we were told that they were busy. The dinning room portion was down a half flight of stairs and out of sight. You could hear an echo when you talked back there. The food still had water running out of it from being heated in the Microwave and the Beer was flat. We also will not be back.
  13. Great find. I would get them powder coated soon before they start to rust.
  14. To far from home for me, but I hope someone takes some pictures.
  15. Another one of your great looking realistic looking builds. The Tin Worm has had it's way with this one alright.
  16. Great clean looking truck. I like the basic nature of the 1:1.
  17. I have had one on order at my local hobby shop and their supplier has been unable to get them. I bought mine a few weeks ago at Hobby Lobby with the coupon. I'll still take the kit from the hobby shop when they do start getting them. I think it all has to do with the big guys getting first dibs.
  18. I followed your build on this beautiful Chevelle and it turned out they way I would have wanted a 1:1. As for the afore mentioned Battery Terminals, you may want to do a little research. The Chevrolets that I owned back then all had the positive terminal close to the fender and the cable ran through a flat plastic loop on the inner fender and then to the starter. The negative or ground cable went from the battery to a bolt on the front off the head on the engine on the passenger side. I always was afraid of touching the positive cable to the fender and blowing up the battery but it never happened. If you have ever had a battery blow up in your face it is an experience you will not soon forget. Anyone checking the oil on a Ford product with their big block engines of that era, especially if someone has left off the plastic cover on the positive post, could be in for a really big surprise.
  19. Very clean looking build and matches the 1:1 perfectly. I owned a '72 Nova SS new and always have missed that car.
  20. Looks better than the cars they used on the TV series. Great looking paint work.
  21. Beautiful clean looking build. great color combination.
  22. Coming together nicely.
  23. I like the fine detailing on the engine. The Carbs. are just the right color and showing a little dust and dirt collection as well as the oil seepage around the valve covers and filler. The tail lights and the grill look perfect.
  24. Looks good so far. You might consider removing the verbiage on the floor pan above where the differential goes. The rear end my hide most of it.
  25. Great looking old Chevy. I also like the wheel and tire treatment. Sometimes a good clean painted wheel goes a long way.
