Glad to see you are proceeding with your build. I have been a watcher with little to offer since I'm still trying to fully understand what all you have designed here. Very creative especially the steering. A thought on the transmission. Is there another option for a transmission that might be better equipped for this engines torque. The differential would also need to be heavy duty and maybe even duel rear tires to aid in traction. This is an adventurous build for sure and I will continue watching to see what all you have in mind.

On the winter paint issue I would suggest a good spray booth with a long exhaust hose to the outside. It's 10 degrees here this morning and I just finished a paint job with no issues. The inside temp. is about 65 to 70 in my basement and I just open the door enough for the hose to go outside and close it as soon as I stop spraying. Some cold air comes in but for the most part it seems more warm air is going out. I managed to finish before the room dropped below 60 and I had already heated the paint before spraying. It's worked for me anyway.

I bet the Hotel Staff loved him.

The Miura has always been what I felt as one of the most beautiful cars ever built. The first Miura I ever saw was owned by the owner of San Bernardino Racing in San Bernardino Ca. This was around 1969 or 1970. His was painted Black as was all of his vehicles were at that time. I watched him drive away from the store one time listening to the sound of the engine as he went thru the gears. Every time you would think it was time to upshift he would go a couple of thousand RPM higher before shifting. The engine sound at that point was like a high pitched scream, it would make the hair on the back of your neck stand up. I remember the experience even today. Anyone who has not had a chance to hear this car Driven in Anger has missed something special. Enough of that I look forward to watching your build.

Great looking fabrication work on the Camper. As others have mentioned, I'm sure you have something special in mind for the suspension. Is the Camper going to be detailed inside or just viewed thru the windows ?

I like how you photographed your model so it looks like a 1:1 car in the driveway. Very crisp clean build. Nicely detailed engine bay and the wheels are perfect. Your paint work is super smooth and has a great reflection finish.

That is one nasty looking engine, just perfect for what you're doing.

I have a severe garage envy.

I'd try listing my needs under the Wanted Section as you may get more response that way. The Cowl Hood would be easy since it's included in the first 2in1 issue of the '69 Nova SS. The Big Tire Chassis could come from the "67 Chevelle Pro Street kit or Tub the chassis and relocate the rear suspension to create your own. The Tach. could even be made out of some spruce. Most of the other stuff can be fabricated from bits and pieces in the kit. The Yenko decals are in the Street Burner Nova kit.

Very nice and the Show Room style detailing really stands out. If you do change the wheels you might consider the factory style Rally wheel with a more standard size tire.

Love the Charger and the Ford coupe is one of my favorites in 1/25th or 1:1. This one really looks nice. I had never seen the Headless Horse Man before, that would be great for Halloween.

Nice clean looking builds. That is a lot for one year and you say there is others ?
-
Amazing save considering the damage and the material that the body was made of.

The hinged Hood, Doors, and Trunk help to show all of the extra details on the interior and engine. I'd like to see more of the Photo Etched Grill, being such a larger part of the front end I'll bet it adds a lot to the look. Perfect Wheels for this style build.

I think your engine detailing looks great. Are you going for the BRE Racing or a modified street 510 ?

Great looking Show Room Stock looking build. With the weather holding up your paint work it will give you plenty of time to look at different colors.
-
I like the Silver Gray color choice. The intake system on the blower is unique, is that from this kit or from something else ? The Pontiac "Snow Flake" looking wheels work well on this.
-
Turned out great. To bad about the low parts count. I like your Magazine Cover idea.
-
Nice clean looking builds. I like the Stock theme.

Wouldn't you just love to have that in 1:1 only with a windshield. Hard to know what model you started with but I like what you've done with it.
-
That's great. I hope you display that every year with all of the other Christmas decorations.
-
Great choice of subjects. I'd like to see more of the '32. The '40 truck looks real nice as does the Manx Buggy.

Your engine build up looks great . You have matched the colors and finishes perfectly.

AMT 57 Chevy Pepper Shaker - Newest reissue
espo replied to pharoah's topic in Car Kit News & Reviews
That's the correct attitude on this kit. Like you I built and enjoyed several of these thru the years. Other than the side trim being a little guffy it is still a great kit and still looks good when built. -
Modeling Family Cars: 1970s Chevrolets
espo replied to AdamC's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
AMT had a kit of a 1976 Caprice coupe that has been reissued a few times. This kit would give you the general body style to make an Impala. The kit includes a Big Block engine but that can be changed if your parents had the more common 350 cu. in. engine. The one I have is an RC2 issue from 2006. The kit also happens to have a single axle car trailer as a bonus. Hope that will help you tp make the Impala.
