  1. I like the look. Unfortunately I can only get a green screen when I click on your video post.
  2. Turned out perfect. Like so many others I followed your build on this. Outstanding craftsmanship thru out.
  3. Is that the Cadillac store at 103rd and State Line Road ??
  4. Thank you for sharing the photos. Many interesting cars that you just don't get to see often.
  5. I would have to agree with Scott on this build. Some have PoPo'd this kits body but I think it looks great the way you have presented it.
  6. Beautiful paint job. This polished out nicely.
  7. You could always just reroute the hoses and if the Valve Cover doesn't clear just leave off the Brake Boaster. I tend to have AR Syndrome and I think most people would never notice the notch or the mounting holes on the Valve Cover.
  8. Sound like a nice devoted son don't you think. Hmm. We have a neighbor that mows his yard every 3 to 4 days during the summer months. He's retired and bored, but his yard is always looking like something out of Home & Garden TV.
  9. Very clean sharp looking build. Your interior is very realistic looking as well.
  10. I like them both. The Suburban lends its self to being a 4X4. Makes you wonder if Revell might not do that in the future. Hint Hint Revell.
  11. Great looking trucks. You really captured your 1:1 truck with your model. I like your idea to post pictures of your real cars and the models of them. My Avatar is a model of a '67 El Camino I drove up until it was traded on a new '74 Step Side.
  12. With the license plates looking like a personalized plate I would think it's privately owned. I know there is some very expensive paints that will look like chrome but the new "wraps" are much more cost effective and they hold up to the elements better. A local "Tint" shop has one of their trucks done like this but in a bright Blue. You just can't miss it on the road.
  13. Beautiful looking build. To think that at one time the '37's were referred to as "The Ugly Duckling" This shows just how wrong they were.

    30 A-Bone

This is an outstanding looking build. Your attention to the engine detail really stands out. The clear Fuel Lines and the California Black Plate put it solid into the '60's.
  15. If you have that Revell Bel Air two door kit I think that would be a great source for both the wheels and tires but also the Grill/front Bumper combination would be a better looking setup compared to the Revell Nomad kits. Another source of parts if you have an old or reissued AMT '57 Chevrolet Hardtop kit.
  16. On the Wheels, you mentioned Bullets and I'm not sure if that is a single big bullet. A style years ago was called a "Spider" that had a chrome cover over the Lug Nuts and the center had a small bullet. To give you an idea of what I'm thinking, the mounting was held in place by the Lug Nuts. The chrome cover had small almost unseen screws that attached the chrome cover to the mounting bracket. These first started appearing in the '50's about the time that Chrome Wheels were becoming common. These would hide the Lug Nuts that usually weren't so pretty.
  17. I like the concept. Great job on the Roll Cage. I agree you should ad a Baby Seat if you can find a realistic looking one.
  18. Another great looking build. You really move fast on a build. As others have mentioned, I think we all wish the best for your father. I wouldn't change the colors at this point , but when the Edsel first came out they had some interesting 3 color combinations. All of the cars I remember at that time with the Continental Kits as they were called always sat lower in the rear. I think the 1:1's just used stock springs and that was a lot of weight hanging off the rear. You mentioned engine decals and I wonder if this kit has the raised lettering on the valve covers. The lettering would usually start with an "E" and then a number relating to the engine size. I think with a steady had you might be able to hand paint that.
  19. I really like how your build looks. I think you were right to leave the side trim in place as it breaks up the broad flat quarter panel. I like the modifications on the rear deck lid, but wonder about the large hole for the trunk key.
  20. A couple of items I noticed on your engine build. First off you have a great looking engine build going. The hose you have on the driver's side Valve Cover should be part of the Smog System and would be the PCV Valve that would attach at the base of the Carburetor. The other problem is that the Valve Cover as you have it now is upside down and the relief in the Valve Cover is to the rear and is to clear the Power Brake Boaster on the 1:1 Engine. Another way to know for sure that the Valve Covers are mounted properly on a Chevrolet Big Block is to remember that they used 3 attachments on the top side and 4 attachments on the bottom of the Valve Covers. The hose on the passenger side would be attached to the Air Cleaner. If you are using a closed Air Cleaner it would attach to the passenger side of the Air Cleaner. If you're using an open element Air Cleaner the hose would attach on the bottom plate of the Air Cleaner. If you just flipped the Valve Cover around and some minor rerouting of the hoses it would look perfect. Like you I'm a very big fan of the first generation Camaro and have owned a few, so I look forward to watching your builds here.
  21. That explains why my "Stash" is always a mess.
  22. Very nice clean looking build. I like the Corvette style 15X8 Rally Wheels on this.
  23. On the Wheel and Tires if you're trying to stay somewhat close to the OEM 14 inch wheels you might look at one of the current Revell '57 Chevrolet kits that also offer white wall tires. Any hub caps you might use would cover the incorrect 6 lug wheels in these kits. The Revell '56 Chevy kits would work also. I think that the tires are the same diameter as the '57 models but they are supposed to represent a 15 inch wheel as that is what was used in '56 Chevrolet. .
  24. I cannot get accustomed too people who begin every sentence with the word "Basically" or "Like" ,
