  1. Great looking Gasser / Pro Street Corvette. Nice soft shade of green.
  2. Beautiful build. Like so many others I followed your build on this model. That is the only way to appreciate what all you did. The diorama is the perfect back drop for your pictures.
  3. Body and interior look outstanding. You might want to check the bottom of the gas tank unless the Revell logo is ok with you.
  4. Just got back from "town". My wife got a 60% coupon from Michaels so I picked up the Olds. I'm going to use the chassis under my next El Camino build. The best part of the old AMT El Camino with the Monte Carlo front end is the body. The chassis leaves a lot to be desired and the engine isn't much better.
  5. Turned out absolutely Evil looking. I enjoyed your You Tube video.
  6. I picked up the new issue Thursday at the market. They also have a one page photo/text on a guy building a TROG roadster and a lot of Gasser style cars.
  7. I have a few '59 El Caminos in my stash, don't remember seeing a slide in camper in any of my issues. I have a '65 El Camino that must be a reissue since the plastic is yellow. The camper shell represents an aluminum three peace shell.
  8. Very nice looking build. That's the color I'd want also. Very clean looking.
  9. Perfect looking High Boy. As others have pointed out the color really makes the build stand out. I also like the interior, both color and finish.
  10. Beautiful looking build. I really like the way you detailed the dash. I have always liked this GM body style and owned an '86 Monte Carlo SS for many years. What are your thoughts on the chassis ?? Thinking about maybe using this kit for a basis for something else.
  11. Your build is looking great. I personally always liked the "Aero" front bumper on these cars. I see what you mean about the blue color. I just didn't realize you were changing the color of your 1:1 and thought you where trying to do an OEM color.
  12. Not sure why you want a long bed, I don't think the Ranger is even made in a long bed. That said you could get an other bed from another kit and splice the two together. You could make it as long as you want. As Mikemodeler mentioned, use the bed from another kit. Are you wanting a step side or a fleetside ??
  13. If your thinking of building one there are Resin bodies out there with the correct body side moldings on the body. A few years ago I built a '50 that I think I got from Modelhaus. I still have a '51 awaiting its time on the bench. I know Modelhaus is no longer with us but I believe there are others out there offering such bodies.
  14. Very nice, realistic looking.
  15. Another beautiful build. I really like the color, I'd like to use it on a future project. Where should I look for it ??
  16. Beautiful build. Every bit as nice as the real thing.
  17. Great looking build, and I agree with Charley on the interior. By the way what as your source on the Tuck & Roll inserts ??
  18. Thank you for sharing. I can see why this is such a big show. Amazing quality of the builds, and we get to see models that are not available here. The Streaker standing on the old car getting ready to throw the hammer really made me laugh.
  19. Turned out very nice. I like the interior-exterior color combination.
  20. I have never seen this kit look this good. I like the wheels, especially the deep set rears.
  21. Perfect Day Two appearance.
  22. Very nicely detailed.
  23. Yah, that is much lighter than the colors I mentioned. You might also check MCW since they have a pretty extensive color library
  24. Your extra efforts on the detailing is really paying off. You mentioned the knob on the dash. I'm not 100% but most cars of this era used a ventilation system to duct fresh air into the interior. Chrysler products tended to use a popup door in front of the windshield. Most often there was a leaver under the dash to open this, but I recall some of the models had a knob that you could turn and that would open the vent.
  25. Those door handles look perfect. With an Air Brush you would have access to reproduction factory colors. An alternative would be spray cans. A few colors I have used in the past that maybe worth looking at. Tamiya AS-26 Light Ghost Grey the lightest grey. Model master #1930 Flat Gull Gray, the darkest. And Testors #1233 Flat Light Aircraft Gray, sort of in the middle. These are all Military paints but offer some interesting alternatives. You would use your favorite Clear over any of them of course.
