  1. I agree the flat hood does look better. I like so many others have used Hart Parts and I'm completely satisfied.
  2. I have very little experience in this area, so others may be able to offer far better ideas. I think that what I would do is to scan the saved decals as soon as possible so that you have the image stored on your computer. Then you could reprint them as many times as needed in the future. My thought is that any decal weather they have been used or not seem to deteriorate with time.
  3. I tend to agree with you on combining of body parts. But the down side is that something like a pick-up bed with two sides, a head board, two fenders and a tail gate even with a good solid floor it makes a very fiddly assembly.
  4. That is a perfect color match to the original.
  5. You should Resin Cast that body before you paint it.
  6. I was going to remark on the fender skirts size , but your post to Ferbz answered my question. The more I look at it the more I appreciate the "flow" you're going for. You mentioned wanting the build to look like a factory car, and I believe that had you chopped the top any more than you did you might have lost that effect. The body lines all flow very nicely together.
  7. Looks like a great kit. The Resin engine looks outstanding.
  8. Great looking patina finish. Your build looks great, but something about this kit's body has always bothered me. The windshield looks like it is raised on the top edge and the "fall" of the front edge of the hood just doesn't look correct to my eye. Like what you made of this kit.
  9. Great looking ET Racer.
  10. I like how you blended the parts from several other kits on this build. The body color almost looks like an OEM Ford color. I like the pin stripes also.
  11. Great looking color.
  12. Great picture, looks like the top of the hill before you drop into the "cork screw" at Laguna Seca. The blue car clearly shows a very stock looking fuel filler. The subject you're using in your build looks to have the stock filler and a quick fill in the trunk. The gold car may have competed in events from different sanctioning bodies that allowed the use of a quick fill. The gold car also appears to have a small tube type bumper that may have been allowed since the fuel tank is so exposed. I think your modifications to this kit have been outstanding and I have enjoyed watching your build.
  13. I wouldn't buy one. The grill looks hideous and not very aerodynamic. That and I would need a co-signer to pay cash.
  14. Great looking redo. Seeing this and so many others that are getting redone makes me wish I had taken all my old models when I left home in the 60's.
  15. Great looking build. Your extra work on body prep really paid off. The paint looks perfect in the picture. I personally like the understated look of the steal wheels and would forgo the spoiler. But it's your build so do it your way.
  16. Beautiful looking build. I like the Barber Pole Drive Shaft also. Your wife picked a great color.
  17. The paint and the color are just outstanding. Very nice Pro Touring type build.
  18. Always a joy to see your Ford builds,

    59 Ranchero

Really nice looking Ranchero. Is that the early Revell kit or a Resin ??
  20. Beautiful paint job. I like the way you did the grill, looks much better than stock. The way you painted the centers on the wheels makes them look very deep set.
  21. Great looking build. The grill seems to stand out a little more than it should. I like the paint treatment.
  22. Very nice clean build. Always liked a red vehicle.
  23. Beautiful build. I like how you redid the grill area. The paint really makes it stand out.
  24. Nice clean looking build. Hard to believe that's a brush paint job.
  25. Very nice. I like the color combo and with those wheels you just never know what may be under the hood.
