  1. Great clean looking build. I like the wrapped Headers.
  2. Beautiful build. I really want to build this kit but this Suburban keeps calling my name.
  3. Beautiful build. I like the color and I'm looking at using it on the Olds. build on my bench now. My question to you is what color base paint did you use ??
  4. I like how the paint turned out. I think it is one of those colors you have to see in person in bright light to appreciate.
  5. Great job on the door jams. That really made a difference in how the roof lo0ks. I got to drive one of these when they first came out, the little 4 cylinder engine, it was the right bank of a 389 Pont. V8, was a very torquey engine with a manual transmission.
  6. Great looking, I agree with the "toned down look". With just a little chrome trim it looks like you're about done.
  7. very nice looking and the colors really go together well.
  8. Beautiful build. It is hard to appreciate just how advanced this design was for the time, until you look what other manufactures were offering in 1953.

    Hot rod Caddy

The interior colors flow together well. The 1:1 Cadillac Was very large car even in its day. There was a joke at that time that the spare (meaning spare tire) was a VW suspended between the fins.
  10. Great photography and the model is outstanding.
  11. Looks very nice. Do you have any pictures of the interior, engine or chassis to share ??

    '58 Impala

Your bucket seat conversion turned out perfect. I like the look enough that I will try this on an up coming build.
  13. The differential change if any would depend on what you have in your parts stash. A thought if you wish to lower the ride height. The rear tire in your picture looks as though it might be ever so much to the rear of the opening. If you lower the suspension the easiest way would be blocks or spacers between the leaf springs and the differential. The differential could be moved forward just little when you remount it to the springs. Also depending just how low you want to go you may want to think about a C notch in the frame above the differential. I like how you Tabbed the rear wheel wells.
  14. I remember an old saying, "Book smart - Street dumb" Just because someone has a "Higher Education" doesn't always mean they know what they're talking about.
  15. You might try Tamiya TS-33 Dull Red. It's non metallic and a flat finish. If you need a little more sheen you could dust it with their Semi-Gloss. As always picnic spoons are your friend.
  16. Beautiful build. The engine is well detailed as is the chassis. The vinyl roof looks dead on. very accurate looking.
  17. This is a very sleek looking body style and the Black color should look good. Great interior.
  18. The wheel base looks like it is a little short. This may have happened when you lifted the suspension for the off road tires. I would suggest looking at changing the wheel base to center the tires in the wheel openings before you cut open the wheel wells. This will save you time opening the wheel wells and the suspension is already altered so anything you do there will really be unnoticed. This is a very interesting concept and I have enjoyed watching your build.
  19. Your engine and interior look great.
  20. You've got all the goodies on this one. I think I'm seeing a red High Lift Jack in there also. You are ready to go Wheel'n.
  21. Looks great, I like the colors you used.
  22. Great looking build, and YES CLEAR IT.

    69 Daytona

Not sure if that is a factory color, but who cares, with that white stripe it looks perfect. With the light colored interior it looks more like a luxury version. I like it a lot.
