  1. Maybe a light coat of semi gloss and it will look like a well used work horse.
  2. I'm going to build this, if I can find one, regardless of any short comings. I will look forward to seeing what Dave Van thinks since he has one in his driveway.
  3. Looks beautiful, very nice color comb.

    Cobra In A Barn

Looks perfect, I remember that episode.
  5. Paint looks perfect, what kind of drive train are you going to use ?
  6. Very smooth looking chop. What else do you have planed ?
  7. Tragic for his family. This does sort of prove that this technology is far from ready to hit the road. That's to bad because the way some people drive in the KC Metro area this could make a dramatic improvement in safety on the roads in this area.
  8. Check out the jewelry department at Hobby Lobby or JoAnn's Fabrics. I have gotten vary fine chains there that I used for the tail gate on a pick-up. Something like that may work.
  9. I'd be inclined to leave it as is, just add the chrome window moldings and call it done.
  10. It looks great. I wouldn't have known what it was except for the Wheeler Dealer show were they restored one.
  11. Another great Ford build. I know how much you love these cars so I just never thought I'd see you distress one. It could be the before and after restoration.
  12. I think your stripe job is much better looking. I also was never a fan of this model Ford except when Starsky would slide over the hood and jump in. All that was fun at the time, but the proportions of the windows always seemed off to me. I think the large "C" pillar made that portion of the roof and the body look to heavy. If I were the one designing the roof line the rear quarter window would have extended further back toward the rear window opening. This would have made the car "lighter" looking and would have eliminated a very large blind spot for the driver if he turned to look over his right shoulder. While still a large stripe by putting just the small line in the middle I think it greatly enhances the appearance.
  13. While Model Master Black is a great paint, Tamiya TS-14 Black is again available and my experience has been better using Tamiya. I think you would be happy with either.
  14. Interesting color combo. The low windshield and head rest looks like a road racer.
  15. I have never tried the super glue technique before. What I have found to work best for small areas such as this is to shape some pieces of the parts tree since it is the same plastic as the body, and use them as fillers for the vents. Sand the area until it looks flat and then use as little body filler as possible to cover any voids left from the filler parts. This should minimize any ghosting from where the body and filler parts meet. .
  16. I missed this year due to a prior commitment. I have both shown models and had a couple of tables for years and really hatted missing this year, I was hopping someone would post pictures.
  17. As mentioned the super charger housing has to be lubricated. The crankcase oil was used in the early years. Many versions of this super charger used a sealed very small reservoir in later years.
  18. You might try using aluminum tubing for the axles. This would give you the strength you are looking for and they can be bent as needed. Another alternative would be brass rod as it would be easier to bend into shape, just not quite as strong as tubing.
  19. I like this build a lot. While I'm not a fan of those wheels, the way you painted them makes them look perfect.
  20. Great looking build. It looks even better since you redid the suspension.
  21. Turned out great especially since its a very basic kit going in. Are you going to add the trim around the windows or is that the look you're going for ?
  22. Beautiful build. I've been trying to find this kit locally and your already posting a finished build. I have the Tamiya TS-11 Maroon already, but now I may look at either gray or the dark blue. Any build problems ?
  23. Beautiful build, well thought out with a different engine and other details.

    Pro Del Rio 57

Great looking build. Well detailed chassis, really like the exhaust tips. What interior did you use ? It looks like it should have been that way from the factory.
  25. I agree with you on the copper color. I built this kit some time ago and your blue is very close to the color I used. I'll enjoy watching your build.
