I completely agree with what has already been said , your modifications helped immensely and the wood grain looks excellent ! Also the solid brown framework does look out of place , it needs some grain in it too !

Great looking Merc and some really fine detailing ! Kinda on the fence about the color but it could grow on me .

This is a very basic kit with low parts count and by building it curbside made for a very quick build ! I picked this one up because I was curious about the Black Pearl plastic and those full length decals . Even with the poor lighting in my photos you can see it's not Black it's a Dark Gray , in fact Tamiya XF-24 Dark Gray is a perfect match for touching up any edges that may appear white . As for the decals they went on pretty good ! One thing to look out for is that you have to cut out for the door handles and the front marker lights . . . I found out after doing the passenger side without cutting them out !
