  1. Awesome detailing and a really nice looking '32 !
  2. Beautiful models , very nice work !
  3. I've always used Testors Decal Bonder only because it's always worked for me so I've never tried anything else . It's sprayed on the decal sheet in 2 or 3 light coats and allowed to dry overnight , then the decals can be cut apart and applied like normal . It goes on very very thin so it doesn't affect how the decals look after they're applied . A lot of people just use a clear spay paint to do this but the Testors Decal Bonder goes on much thinner than any clear I've seen .
  4. Wow that's really nice ! Love the color !
  5. Beautifully done ! The wheel and tire swap really makes a difference , great job !

  9. Thanks You ! Thanks much ! Thank you very much Glenn ! I've seen Norm's Phaeton and it's super nice , I appreciate the compliment .
  10. Thanks ! Thanks ! Get yourself a set of the smallest files you can find and go for it . Thanks you !
  11. Thanks Bruce ! I thought the same thing about the rear wheels but for such a nice kit there are lots of little details missing .
  12. Thanks Pat ! Yes I used the original 55 year old decals but I sprayed them with a sealer before hand .
  13. Thanks very much guys !
  14. Beautiful T-Bird , love the color ! And I agree your brush paint jobs have always been very impressive .
  15. A real Black Beauty ! Good call paying for the wide whites , it would look wrong without them .

    Audi A4 DTM

Cool lookin' car Pat , nice work !
  18. Thanks Mark ! It was suggested to me to use an X-acto blade to scrape the spokes but that sounded like a disaster waiting to happen . I decided to try some small files that I have , smaller than the normal jewelers files these are about 4" long and very narrow . Turns out they made an easy job of the spokes , just a few minutes on each wheel . Then I did some cleanup with the X-acto knive and a toothbrush .
  19. Thanks much guys !
  20. Beautifully done and some great detailing too ! The engine looks so real I think the upper rad hose clamp has slipped . . . better fix it before you hit the road !
  21. The roofline on the Wildfire looks great to me . But the Novamino rear window doesn't seem to work , it should be more vertical similar to the '64-'67 El Camino's . . . just my thoughts . Keep going on the Wildfire !
  22. Just looked too . . . no reply . Sorry Snake but it seemed like a thread about "I'm really bored and have nothing to say so I'll post this". Maybe I'm just not into VW's .
  23. Straight out of 1962 comes the Monogram "Yellow Jacket" Ford Competition Roadster , built basically box stock with just a few modifications . The front was lowered a scale 3 inches , front spokes were 'thinned' , lug nuts added to the rear wheels , and all chrome was stripped except for the engine . I also made some filler panels for the rear wheel openings .The kit is molded in yellow and black so the plastic was polished and cleared , the original decals were sprayed with a sealer before applying them , and 'wood' decals were made instead of painting the floorboards . Of all the early Monogram kits I've built I think this is my favorite , it would be fun to build another and really detail the heck out of it ! I hope you like it !
