  11. This is AMT's rebox of the JoHan Pro Stock kit and is another that I purchased for the cool box art . I built one of the JoHan Mavericks several years ago and was impressed by the detail and how well it went together , the windshield–interior–chassis all locate positively during assembly and do so repeatedly with no interference issues . Yes it has the dreaded metal axle thru the oil pan but with such a nicely molded engine it can be overlooked . This is also the closest I've ever gotten to a true Box Art build . The only changes/modifications I made were to narrow the track 1/8" front and rear so that the tires didn't stick out quite so far , and I shaved the molded lettering off of the tires and used white letter decals from Gofer Racing . The kit decals were badly yellowed so I also printed new "Right On" and Ford" decals . Masking the body for the multi-color paint was tricky and the painting took an entire week to finish . The paint is all Tamiya TS spray cans cleared with Future . I did tint the side windows but at the last minute decided it looked better without them , just a personal preference . Overall this was a very enjoyable build not adding extra details to everything and actually building a kit right out of the box ! I hope you like it and thanks for looking !
  12. Very very nicely done Jesse , it will look great in your collection ! You're correct that blue is nearly identical to the original Monogram plastic , If one didn't know you painted it they'd swear it was just polished plastic . Very neat and clean !
  13. Great looking Boot Hill Express ! Probably the most difficult Tom Daniel kit there is and you did an excellent job .
  14. Well done Ken , some of these kits can be real lemons and you've made lemonade ! And having fun is the whole idea !

  23. Well done Bernard , your changes/additions have captured the Box Art look perfectly ! I too have collected parts for this same build and will be saving yours to use as a guide . . . if I ever do it .
  24. The extra detailing is outstanding , great work ! I had the pleasure of meeting Richie back in the early 80's . . . it was a shock when we lost him .
