In '71 MPC did some weird things by adding oversize engines and wings to their models creating the weird "Mild & Wild" kits . . . even the little Zingers were not immune when their already oversized parts grew even larger creating "Super Zingers" . . . which was a strange name since the regular Zingers were already called Super Vette , Super Drag , etc . . .
They're were two Super Zingers , the "Slightly Altered" Vette and the "Fired Up" A100 PIckup . Even though I enjoy building Car-Toons I never really cared for these kits but when I acquired them both a couple of years ago I decided to give them a go and built the Vette , ended up it wasn't too bad and looked really good in my Zinger collection . Now a year later I finally got around to building the A100 Pickup . . . Lots of extra do-dads on this one but again it doesn't look that bad when finished , guess it's kind of grown on me . It's built right out of the box except for my own decals and I swapped the kit emergency lamps for ones from the '68 Coronet Convertible .
Definitely not for everybody but here's my "Fired Up" Super Zinger !
Here's my "Slightly Altered" Vette and "Fired Up" Pickup together .
