  1. Thanks Ray ! Well these definitely qualify , thanks ! I don't know about that but thanks much Rusty !
  2. Beautiful little Cobra with the top and shortened trunk , very nicely done !
  3. Ahhh that makes more sense .
  4. In '71 MPC did some weird things by adding oversize engines and wings to their models creating the weird "Mild & Wild" kits . . . even the little Zingers were not immune when their already oversized parts grew even larger creating "Super Zingers" . . . which was a strange name since the regular Zingers were already called Super Vette , Super Drag , etc . . . They're were two Super Zingers , the "Slightly Altered" Vette and the "Fired Up" A100 PIckup . Even though I enjoy building Car-Toons I never really cared for these kits but when I acquired them both a couple of years ago I decided to give them a go and built the Vette , ended up it wasn't too bad and looked really good in my Zinger collection . Now a year later I finally got around to building the A100 Pickup . . . Lots of extra do-dads on this one but again it doesn't look that bad when finished , guess it's kind of grown on me . It's built right out of the box except for my own decals and I swapped the kit emergency lamps for ones from the '68 Coronet Convertible . Definitely not for everybody but here's my "Fired Up" Super Zinger ! Here's my "Slightly Altered" Vette and "Fired Up" Pickup together .
  5. Great looking Charger Tim , the triple white with red stripes looks awesome ! Not normally a fan of the wheels but they look good on this one ! Three in one week ?!?!?!
  6. Another great looking full size , very nicely done !
  7. Well done Tim , beautiful colors ! These were such great looking cars !
  8. Nice ! I learned that lesson about using thinner instead of water too , even when brushing small parts the thinner makes a mess .
  9. The "No Spray" is actual paper not a decal film like we all have been using or years , that's why it's only available in matte white . It's much thicker , has no adhesive , can't be repositioned (it tears) , and setting solutions have no effect on it . You may as well just use regular copy paper .
  10. I used those disposable baking pans from the grocery store , I bought the cheaper ones not the heavy duty . Only issue is they all have patterns stamped into the bottoms so useable aluminum is limited .
  11. Thanks Donato !
  12. Great engine detailing and a sharp looking 442 , well done !
  13. Very nicely detailed , great job overall ! I've never built one of these kits but it does look good .
  14. Great job detailing this one especially the emblems , very nicely done ! Nothing wrong with gluing the hood shut , I've done it a few times myself .
  15. Beautiful job Charley ! The more I see this the more I like it ! What are you calling that color . . . kind of a Sherbert or Butterscotch ?
  16. Very very nice Bob , I'm sure your friend loved it ! I really like the paint finish , very smooth .
  17. Well there's one we don't see very much of , well done Phillip ! I hear these kits are a real bear to build . . . looks like you did just fine .
  18. Well done David , the polished plastic looks great ! This Monogram kit stands up well for it's age .
  19. How can I contact him ? Never mind , I got in contact with him . . . Thanks .
  20. I just saw Paul Hettick's build of the '77 Cougar and it's gorgeous ! Is your Cougar now available to purchase ?
  21. Nice ! Love the six banger , well done !
  22. Great collection of builds ! They're all very nicely done , beautiful paint and cleanly detailed . . . excellent work !
  23. That's a cool looking model and you did a great job on the conversion ! I especially like that you used the '59-60 El Camino rear window and roof overhang , most conversions just add a flat glass and it looks awful to my eyes , also the Corvette type side coves are a great addition !
  24. Thanks very much John !
  25. Very cool model , well done !
