  1. @Carl- No, I wasn't robbed. I had one from years ago that I had in a storage box. It was going to donate the engine and wheels/tires to two different kits. When I went to look for it again, it was gone. I have no idea where it went. Even after my wife and I recently moved it still didn't turn up. So, I got a new one and now at least two projects can get finished...eventually.
  2. I FINALLY got one and for a decent price....well, rather cheap actually. The Franklin Mint '48 Tucker. Such a cool car and way ahead of its time.
  3. Got this off of Ebay for cheap. It's a replacement for one that grew legs and flew the coop. Gonna use the engine for a future chopped '32 project and the wheels will go to my stalled '49 Merc project. The rest will be built curb-side(maybe) as kind of a streetrod with modern wheels/tires.
  4. I'd definitely buy one or more, but it has to have all the detail.
  5. Well, it was the middle of last week...a black Porsche Panamera. Really kind of weird looking with 4 doors and all.
  6. Now that my wife and I have bought a house, and have somewhat settled in, my plan is to build a hobby room. Then I can worry about what models to build in it! @Joe- That Blazer crawler is sweet! Always loved those "real" Blazer's...not those imposter S-10...um, things. Might have to look into getting one myself.
  7. On Monday I saw a FUBARed Jaguar F-Type Convertible about to be dragged up onto a roll-back. There is a major construction zone in the Zoo Interchange(anyone from around here knows what I'm talking about) where traffic lanes narrow each way and apparently the driver ran out of room and spun the car around and caved the entire rear-end into a temporary wall. Other drivers had luck on there side, because the Jag was the only vehicle involved. Traffic was backed up for almost 2 miles and hardly moving...glad I was going the other way.
  8. It looks too GT-40ish with some of the body mods, but still doesn't look bad. @Brian- Although it's pretty beat up, it appears to be a vintage Wisconsin license plate.
  9. Just a reminder, for those who want to go, the sale is TOMORROW Sunday November 2nd starting at 12PM. It is NOT IN DECEMBER this year.
  10. It was the last one on the rack and the first time at a Hobby Lobby for me.
  11. Thought I'd check out the new Hobby Lobby by our new place. They just opened a week or two ago and got a 40% off coupon in the mail yesterday. So, I got the AMT Chevy Rescue Van for the 40% off and because my fingers aren't like they used to be, I got some Micro Stix adhesive tip applicators for gluing on tiny pieces.
  12. Had a Ferrari in my garage tonight! Well...before I put it downstairs. But seriously, for you Ford guys I saw a 60 something Falcon(?) Convertible. And for the Chevy guys, over the last couple of days a Chevy regular cab short-box mild custom that is dropped pretty low. Sounded pretty nice with the Flowmaster's too.
  13. Right down the street from the old house. These were parked in front of a house of an owner of a '70 GTO(was in the garage).
  14. I couldn't tell you what year it was, but I passed a white Bentley Continental GT V12 on my way to work. I'm not much of a fan of Bentley's, but it was a sharp looking car none-the-less. Didn't even know about them.
  15. The very last model kit at the Walmart by me. Revell's '41 Willys Street Rod on clearance. They stopped selling kits.
  16. @Roger- I know what you mean. Now that I have another '71 in the stash, you've got me thinking about it too! I think I need to find an AAR or Challenger T/A.
  17. @Nick- This is the Phantasm tribute car built by GYC that Gary wants to build. Triple black with black 340 billboards.
  18. I know it's available from time to time on Ebay and other places, but the prices on them are outrageous and I'm not willing to pay them...north of $300. I'd like to see the Monogram '79 T/A re-popped...not the '80 Turbo T/A. I built one way back in the '80's when they came out, but unfortunately it's long gone. And, I just realized a fault in the kit. I believe it was an automatic car with the Pontiac 400....not available in that combo for that year. Automatics got the Oldsmobile 403 engine and 4-Speeds got the Pontiac 400.
  19. There was a Tucker at "World Of Wheels" here in Milwaukee a number of years ago. It even still had the original fitted Tucker luggage too. I think I may have a picture or two(not digital) in a photo album.
  20. I have the same kit in my stash. Always had a soft spot for Pantera's since I saw two for sale(1 red, 1 yellow) across the street from my first job in '88. It's too bad there isn't a whole lot of detail to it. Looks great though! The only thing I'd change if I build mine is the tires.
  21. 3Q2015! WHOH WHoh whoh....hold the boat! Now we have wait about ANOTHER year!?! No more early Merry Christmas to us from Moebius this year? Don't get me wrong, I want this kit to be right, but the wait is getting painful! We Pontiac addicts have been jonesing for something new for a long long time. We need a fix.
  22. Tucked in between some newer blah blah cars on the top rack of a car hauler I passed on the freeway was a sweet looking Alfa Romeo Giulia. Besides being very good to mint condition, what really set it off was it had a nice set of Mini-lites.
  23. A gorgeous blue(some other blue, not B5) '70 Challenger R/T. Had a really nice rumble as it passed me going the other way.
  24. Ha! Harry commented AND didn't notice there weren't any mirrors! He must be slipping! Anyway Ken, now I remember that I bought the kit for the rims and maybe some other parts. Being that I got the kit so cheap I don't think I'll mind pirating parts from it. We'll see what I do with it sometime in the future.
