Contact info for Paul Turley (Paul's Model Works on YouTube)) ?

I sent him a message through Youtube that you're trying to get ahold of him. If I hear back from him, I'll let you know and pass along any contact info for him through a PM to you here. -
My wife picked up an open box, but bags sealed and complete inside AMT 1969 Mercury Cougar Eliminator kit from a thrift store she likes to shop at. Funny thing, if I'm with her...no kits. When she goes, I get a phone call to see if I want it. This time though, it was sitting on my chair when I got home from work yesterday. Nice little surprise.

Do you mean the annual BIG SALE? That is the first Sunday of December every year. Don't know about any kind of swap.

How about the last HEMI 'Cuda. It has the highest known VIN for a HEMI 'Cuda in '71. It also went through about 3 auctions that I know of, twice through Mecum and once through Barrett Jackson, in a year before the seller finally let it go for $550,000. I guess if you include "the last" to almost anything, the price goes through the roof.

Based on that it's a Monogram model, it's 1/24th scale and probably a '71...not a '70. But the picture will tell the tale. If you can, show the front end...'70 & '71 'Cuda front grille areas are very different.

Check the bottom of the model for which company produced the kit. A picture would help us help you also. Somebody here should be able to give you an answer then.

Went to Model Empire with the intention of only getting the Detail Master hood pin photo etch set for a Dodge Daytona project. Got that as well as a Detail Master ignition wire loom set and the new Moebius Chrysler 300B(retails for at or around $29.99, but was $23.99 @ ME). Couldn't help it. Great looking kit though! Can't wait for that '61 Pontiac Ventura from them! Should be an awesome kit as well.

What James said...only I would add that you start with smaller drill bits and work progressively to larger drill bits up to the size you need for the axle. If you start with the exact size bit to the axle size you're drilling for, there's a good chance of spinning the wheel out of control in your hand and getting an oblong hole or worse...a blowout and ruining the rim. So, go slow and work up to it.

Nothing model related for Xmas for me. Need to get this months GN&H coupon printed up for a trip there and/or Model Empire this weekend. Thinking about a Basswood "lumber" purchase for a garage diorama project. With the lack of motivation I pretty much set aside all car building except for one. Just need to do something totally different for a change of pace.

1969 Camaro Question
The70judgeman replied to bill w's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
Never heard of or seen a Camaro with a bench seat. Had to look it up...and BOOM...there it was! Being a "sport(y) coupe", you'd think only bucket seats were available. Another seldom seen automotive oddity! -
This is cool...love it! Pretty much what I've been looking for to build. Checked it out, downloaded and printed up the plans too. ANOTHER project to build, but will definitely be worth doing!

Nice to see a Ford Flatty in a Ford instead of the usual Chevy SB 350. Looks really sharp!

That is some outstanding detailing Cameron! Very impressive work!

Scalefinishes.com year end sale!
The70judgeman replied to Scalefinishes's topic in Links to Aftermarket Suppliers
Thanks for the heads-up! An even better deal than the Thanksgiving Sale they just had. Sounds like another order from me coming up! -
Had a very smooth trade with Plowboy(Roger Hayes). Was just going to send him some unwanted rims/tires no strings attached, but he had some rims I was looking for and sent them to me. A win-win for both of us.

The mail carrier dropped off my order from Scale Finishes today. All from their Thanksgiving Sale. For future 'Cuda(at least 4), a '71 Charger, & Buick projects.

Went to the Milwaukee Miniature Motors show with the intention of only buying maybe parts and tires, but ended up finding the "Mad Max" V-8 Interceptor(open box, parts bagged, missing tires...but I already have from a previous kit) and got a Pontiac parts bag from Casey. Also met Dr. Kerry and Ken Boyer(Kennyboy) from here on the forum.

It was yesterday, but I got a set of MOPAR steelies and "dog dish" hub caps from a generous forum member as a "pay it forward." A big thank you to him and I will do the same as soon as I find someone in need of something that I can provide...no strings attached.

Actually, George Ramero doesn't like the show. I believe he said it's too soapy for his taste. Hope he realizes that the concept of the show is there was no such thing as "zombie" or "living dead" type shows or movies in their world, the TV show, and all of this is new to them. They have to learn by trial and error to survive. So, if you watch the show with that in mind, you'll get it. His loss I guess. But anyway, my wife and I follow the show and watch every week. We kind of skipped the first season when it first came out, how good could living dead stuff be as TV show, but we got hooked when the season repeated as a marathon.
