Wow...that is nice and smooth. Very well done. -
It's bow season right now since mid September until day before 9 day gun season...weekend before Thanksgiving. Yeah, the deer are running...it's the rut. Gotta watch it from dusk till dawn...that's when they're really on the move.

A headache is what I got today. 3 1/2 hrs. of brake work, rotors and pads on all 4 corners, on the Dodge only to find a rotted brake line and a puddle after I tried to pump the brakes back up to pressure before test drive. Uuugggghhhh!!!

Oops...yep, missed that. Thanks.

Just out of curiousity and maybe a stupid question, but where is the windshield frame from?

Went to one of my LHS's today. They recently bought a collection of newer and vintage kits and are slowly putting them out on the shelves. The GMC Syclone was just put out and of course I snatched it up. I also picked up "The Weathering Magazine" Issue 1 that they also just got in. Paid a little more than the cover price, because that's what they paid for each...they're sold out. But, I didn't pay what they were asking. I happened to notice their mistake by not covering up the cover price with their price sticker. So the owner cut their price for me, but I bet all the other magazines are fixed now.

I'm in Milwaukee, city of....for now. Yes, the Model and Toy Show at Serb Hall is coming up fast...November 4th(a Sunday). I believe it's from 9-3 and $5 admission. Also, if you make it down to the Milwaukee area, West Allis to be exact, to Model Empire, there is a display case in the back that has flyers with info on AMG...meeting times and place. Also you can talk to Mike...he works there, Model Empire, and is a member of the group too. I've met up with Casey there once. He comes down to the store maybe once a month. Really nice guy and very knowledgeable on the hobby. I'm usually there a few times a month too. Edit for show times: 10AM-2PM. Casey also has a post in the the shows section with complete info.

Nice engine details.

Had a 40% off coupon for Micheal's, so I got the AMT '66 Olds Cutlass 442...$13 and change. Wish they had a better selection. But, you know how that goes...wish in one hand, and........... Also noticed that the front driver side tire on the Dodge had a gouge in the sidewall down to the cords. So, being that the tires were about worn out anyway, I had a new set of BF Goodrich Long Trail T/A's put on. Had them on another truck before and was pretty happy with them...bring on the snow. Next...a complete brake job...before it snows of course. Sitting for around 11 months took its toll on them. Guess I was lucky to get the truck home with no trouble.Forgot, I sanded down some rusty areas and repainted the back bumper, the metal part of course, before it rusted through.

Sweet looking ride. Probably not yours, but the Rallye 350 is pretty cool looking too.

Love the engine bay detailing.

Space Skydive.

Seemed to be more of a very expensive "just because" than anything, but was interesting to watch. Over 2 1/2 hrs. up and less than 10mins. back down...super express. Surprised Virgin(what's his name) wasn't part of it. Although, he's got his own space project going. -
This may seem like a really stupid question, but is this the same technology that Jay Leno has and uses in his shop to reproduce small parts in plastic to make a master mold from? That show was a "My Classic Car" with Dennis Gage episode...I think. Jay made a chain from a solid piece of plastic with all the individual links interlinked when it was completed. Like I said...stupid question, but I just want to make sure I'm following the thread correctly.

Definately different....but I like it. Great job! Just out of curiousity...what would you call it? I've got Metrovette in my head.

Good one Casey. Yeah...funny thing is I hardly ride it, but it already has pretty aggressive tires for a scooter. Think I wasted my money buying it. I'll keep it though. Thanks Mike. Yeah...I'll drive it from time to time. Just glad it made it home with zero problems. Spent more than I wanted to. I had a truck before with a V8...they're just pigs on gas...very thirsty. That's mostly why I got rid of it.

No models or supplies as I was out of town up north at the cabin for 4 days to clean and shut down for the winter. But, through being the heir to my dad, I acquired his truck which sat up there for about 11 months. Got it retitled, insured, and had the oil changed, as well as the climate control panel replaced, because it shorted out...over $700 worth out of pocket. All that not including gas...over $70 to fill it to drive home and another $73 to fill it back up. Anyway...it's a 2004 Dodge Dakota Quad Cab 4x4 with the V8. No problems getting home, but it'll need more work...like brakes and maybe some tires. Also a good cleaning inside and out. Won't be driving it much except if it snows which will be coming soon.

Revell/GearZ contest prizes
The70judgeman replied to dimebolt's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Wow...missed this post. Congrats on the win! Nice prize package. -
I see lots of my cash going bye bye next year for sure.

Hugger Orange and Carousel Red are the same color. Orbit Orange(offered '70-'71 only) is a lighter yellow/orange shade(see my avatar)...a very sought after Judge color especially if original color to the car. Very few if any '71's were painted in Orbit Orange.

I bought one some time ago. That tooling is really showing its age. Lots of flashing and mold lines. How was yours when you opened the box?
