  1. I didn't know that about the build..... That's interesting, and probably how a lot of extreme kustoms came about. This car isn't QUITE as bad as the Golden Sahara, but is clearly inspired by it. It's Voodoo Larry's "Voodoo Sahara"........ It started out as a Kaiser, I believe....
  2. Nice to see those taillights on what they belong on! Not hard to see why so many kustoms have them........
  3. Cale, man, That looks really good! I like the color a lot......
  4. In the middle of a trade with Jim Sullivan (DPNM)...... Really good guy and an excellent trader!
  5. That's a really nice blue, Anton! Are the braces on the floor separate pieces? That's crazy! I can't wait to get mine started..........
  6. Man, you don't put Lakewoods on a MoPar........ They have a pinion snubber!
  7. The Universe isn't infinite....... and Ours isn't the only one. It is, however, expanding outwards from the center faster than light speed.
  8. Welcome! It's always nice to have another North Carolinian on the forum.... There's a few on here.
  9. Les, man.... How many tracks are on GT7? Are they mostly carry overs from the previous ones? All I have at the moment is my little PS2 slim. I had two copies of GT4 but they wouldn't play in my console.... Right now I've got GT3.
  10. I believe that's how whoever created this is seeing us, as 2D. It WAS just 4/20 Wednesday........
  11. I've been kinda reading around online about this. The theory that we are living in an elaborate simulation, like a computer program. Here's the wiki about it.... https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Simulation_hypothesis One thing that could be proof of this, is that there is a 'speed limit' in space (the speed of light). The program needs time to 'load', thus the speed limit...... Also, it's said that anything we aren't looking at and can see directly isn't really there at all, which would save on memory. What do you guys think of this?
  12. The "best" as far as being reliable would be the little Mazda GLC hatchback I had. It had a quarter-million miles on it when I finally retired it. I drove that little car all over North Carolina painting houses out of it. It still had the original clutch, the only thing I ever had to replace was the CV axles. The one that I wish I still had would be the fox Thunderbird I drove in High School. It was an '83 I believe. Everyone else wanted the Mustang, (I've had a fox Mustang also), but I liked being 'different'......
  13. This is going to be super cool...... Your inspiration pics look like something Trailer Park Limo would come up with.
  14. I think the album "Fashion Nugget" by Cake had the biggest impact on me when it was released. I was in my mid-teens and kinda still feeling out who I was..... I found the lyrics to be refreshing and unlike anything I had heard before. The music also pulled me in, it's kinda jazz in some places, most songs are just laid back and really easy to listen to. Here's one from that album, called Open Book...
  15. That's quite a sight! I really like these cars....... You guys in SoCal see all of the good stuff.
  16. This would probably help reduce brush marks, huh? That's the only problem with brush painting..... Thanks for the replies, fellas, this is the best forum....
  17. Yes, I usually use either a craft paint or something acrylic like Tamiya clear red...... I guess I'll need to stop by a hardware store soon. Thanks....
  18. Hey, Guys..... I bought a small jar of Tamiya "rubber black" (LP-65), and just had a quick question. Besides their dedicated lacquer thinner, what could I use to clean my brushes? Would rubbing alcohol do the job? I'm hoping to use this on an upcoming model for a more realistic finish on the rubber parts..... Thanks for any kind of help!
  19. I read in a magazine column some time back that driving instructors no longer teach kids how to avoid an accident....... They just tell them to drop their arms and wait for impact. I guess the airbags and such are more responsible for driver safety than the drivers themselves.....
  20. Cale, man, do you know what year model the engine is? If it's an early one, the only go fast goodies you would really need would be a good carb and your long tube headers.... These engines were strictly a performance engine. They never came in a family car, and never had a 2 bbl carburetor.....
  21. Yep, stockers in sleeves! That looks the best......
  22. I appreciate you, Bill....... if nobody else does......
  23. Just a heads-up if any of you guys may be fans.... Primus is releasing a new album this month! I can't wait until it's on Napster.... Also, the Red Hot Chili Peppers have a new album out (those guys are showing their age!). First time I think they had horns and piano on an album. Pretty good listen so far.....
