  1. Thanks, guys! I'm really glad you like it......
  2. My parents had a '66 SS with a 327/powerglide when I was a kid........ It was white with black interior. I remember it fondly and have liked the Impala ever since!
  3. I get on these "kicks" where I have an extreme interest in either a genre or a make of automobile. It might be customs, or sports cars, or anything Thunderbird, etc.... Right now I'm on a Bimmer kick, so the next model I'm gonna order to build will be the Fujimi 635CSi.
  4. A couple of outside shots......
  5. Thanks, Fellas! I'll try to get an outside pic so you can get a better sense of the color....... It's kinda hard to photograph....
  6. That's a real good looking build.....
  7. Hey, guys, Thanks! The color is the DupliColor bronze wheel coating cleared with their 1K clear....
  8. I just finished this up today! This is a pretty good kit. The fitment was nice until the final joining of the body and the 'guts'..... I didn't do a WIP on this one, as it was just a pretty straight-forward build. I did lower it, and used the custom wheels from the '62 T bird. Maybe in a bit I can get some outside pics.... Thanks for looking and feel free to comment.
  9. Thanks a bunch, guys! The 1K clear from DupliColor really shines, and it dries kinda slow, so it has time to level out. I really like using it.....
  10. I'm REALLY lovin' this group that I was turned on to by a really good friend.... She's from San Pedro, the home town of the Minutemen. They've been described as 'jazz-punk', but I'll let you decide......
  11. Yep. Both times it was a GM product...... I guess something shorted out in the solenoid.
  12. Go buy a starter from Advance if you want to see something catch fire! I've seen them engage out of nowhere and be trying to turn the engine........
  13. Not all in one person, I hope!
  14. The thing about Jethro Tull........ It's just as much about the lyrics as it is the music. The only other musician that I can think of that can match the density of Ian Anderson's lyrics is Beck......
  15. I like how it looks in the initial post! Kinda artsy...... I would be tempted to leave it like that.
  16. I would if I still had it, man......... This thread is over two years old.
  17. It's funny that you mention this song..... It's one of the songs on the video game Gran Turismo 2! It plays while you're driving....
  18. I like it quiet when I build...... I listen to music when I'm waiting for paint or glue to dry. It's more 'Zen' quiet.
  19. A bunch of the Craigslist cars I look at always start with "Here are things I've done in X amount of time", then they go into a long list of bushings, seals, and rubber lines being replaced...... Seems to be a weak point in the construction of these.....
  20. Do these cars have an interference engine, Bill? I understand the timing belt needs to be changed at regular intervals.....
  21. Just finding out about these guys..... the Scott Pemberton Trio. Their music is kinda funky jam rock.
  22. I like to think that there is more than one type of BMW fan...... You also have those that would , say, swap in an LS engine into one. That's kinda where I fall in....
  23. I could have owned a Beem in highschool.... A friend had one with a 4 cylinder/manual. It would run until it got to operating temp, then it would shut off....... once it cooled down it would start up again. Thinking back, it could have just had sugar in the gas. Didn't know that then, though....
  24. JC, thanks man! That makes sense with the engine size..... probably common knowledge. Bill, I'm with you in liking the older ones better.... I've been drooling over this little car since I found it on Craigslist in LA. and It's the same year model as me! https://losangeles.craigslist.org/sfv/cto/d/granada-hills-1980-bmw-633csi/7448830389.html
  25. Yea, I know.... You either really like them, or you really don't. Me, I have always thought the BMWs were really nice. Most of them you can get for a reasonable price. I understand the engine to have is the DOHC inline 6 (m3 engine?). What is confusing to me is the use of numbers to designate a model...... Like, what is the difference between a 318i and a 328i? I know the "i" came about when fuel injection was first being offered on them. Anyone have any obscure knowledge on the Beemers (or is it Bimmer?) I've always liked them, like I said, but here recently I've been wanting to learn more about them.
