    Phantom Nascar Truck

    Cheers bobss396.
  4. Just delivered from ebay. These are some of my most popular kits as they are easy to build and come in various styles or enable conversion. The date on the box is 1975 and the price sticker was £1.35!

    Phantom Nascar Truck

Thanks guys. Interesting bobss396, importing kits to the UK is at present expensive, some asking $40 or more just for shipping. Interested to see the 3D printed bodies though, thanks.
  6. Uncertain T Scratch. I built this body, measurements taken my resin build a few years ago. It's boxy, Plasticard sheet plus three sizes of Plasticard square section rod/tube. I've now to do an extensive search through numerous boxes of spares, to complete. Fingers crossed that I complete it! The trim ring is for the round rear window. Engine parts..
  7. A belated March birthday present, at last released..

    Phantom Nascar Truck

Thanks Shoopdog, Yes I'm a fan of the Nascar Truck series, but we don't get coverage here in the UK anymore, only the cars!
  10. Having bought a NASCAR TRUCK body sometime ago I thought it was time to tackle a build. I bought a relatively cheap car kit from ebay, I started the build. This is so far having modified the chassis to fit. Now finished using parts and decals from the Monogram Chevy Lumina kit.
  11. Having bought a NASCAR TRUCK body sometime ago I thought it was time to tackle a build. I bought a relatively cheap car kit from ebay, I started the build. This is so far having modified the chassis to fit. There are a few things to add and perhaps some decals to find. UPDATE: Completed build in Nascar Under Glass.
  12. Any update Anton?
  13. Thanks guys, although an old kit, still good to put together.
  14. That is just magnificent! As a VW fan since I was about 10 (now 75) I'm super impressed. I built one about 2 years ago with Centrelines with the standard body.
  15. Neat! I've seen them race a few times.
  16. Cheers guys, yes the Stratos is a real shorty!
  17. As it was an 'already started' kit I cleaned up the chassis, the 'Alitalia' decals were old, dark and seemed to be on a sheet of cardboard, I searched the web and found this 1:1 car to base it on. I only found one 'HF' decal in the stash, so had to find other 'white' decals. Three versions,
  18. Thanks Doug, so I look forward to tackling the Audi.
  19. Thanks atomicholiday. The kit is an early one so problems with fit. I need to take off various chassis parts as the body is hampered by them being in the way, so may have shave various parts down.
  20. Thanks for that Doug. I've recently bought the NuNu version. So I'll see how that one builds up.
  21. Revell Lancia Stratos. As the kit decals, possibly ten years plus old, look as if they on a piece of cardboard, I have taken a day or so searching through two or more boxes of decals. Having searched the web and seen a dark blue version of the car, have painted the body with a rattle can Plasti-Kote Dark Blue, have now laid up some decals. It is now under a coat of Plasti-Kote gloss clear.
  22. Superb! Which manufacture is the kit please?
