  1. Here in the UK the price of fuel is steeply on the rise at the beginning of last week a litre of diesel was £1.58 per litre ( X four for a gallon) it is now £1.74 per litre. It used to fluctuate by a few pence but not at this rate! I don't know if it's the same in the US but we are in our 70's and don't live by a mobile phone, we went into our favourite coffee shop today and all most all of the seats/tables were taken, we found one and sat down in near silence as everyone else, couples and families were gawping at their phones! I wonder if they have minds of their own, a real conversation killer!
  2. Well guys here's the pilot, with what I thought was a small dog which turns out to be (after looking closely at the box) a grey and white cat! I'll get some staged photo's tomorrow, with the plane and pilot.
  3. Whoa that's a hell of a size railway layout and the new tank car is superb!
  4. Re placed because I couldn't find this thread. A few days ago.. Due tomorrow..
  5. Apologies, I couldn't find this thread.
  6. That's why I ordered it, Oddball suits me!
  7. Thanks Bob and well done in ordering one. So I'm now looking forward to what you make of two of them! Now see decals, the pilot is in the paint shop at present. I've left the round bomb that is supplied as well
  8. Thanks Rusty, yes assembled with care turns into a fun build, and another yes regarding the pilot. I must get some research including old pictures of pilots in the day to complete his paint.
  9. Well we have a few more photo's from today. There is a clear windscreen across the tops of the machine guns that was a loose fit so just a drop of cement holds it in place. With the pilot figure, the only part needing paint. Just the decals to come. I've taken the option to hang two standard bombs underneath rather than just on round bomb. Care needs to be taken with snapping together parts as sometimes the holes are not quite large enough to take the next component.
  10. Thanks guys, more photo's of the build on the way.
  11. Yes Endeavour, a younger police detective earlier known as Morse the older detective. Both series over many years filmed 20 miles from here on the streets/countryside around Oxford.
  12. Thanks guys, yes there is a German SPAD X111 with Rickenbacker pilot as well.
  13. This is a snap kit already coloured, good for someone like me that is now at 74 next week struggling with painting. Instructions: Decals: Parts: Suitably ready coloured.. Cockpit already done: and four parts of the engine built.. There are various clear parts including a complete fuselage if needed to build showing the interior.
  14. Thanks guys. Yes I like to think/see things differently or re-purposed I think it's called, for civilian use.
  15. Well in the post to me. I love TOONS! I know they are not everybody's cup of char/tea, but to a 74 year old (next week) they are fun and a shot in the arm!
  16. A bit more on the Hasegawa Lancia 037..
  17. So when is Amelia, getting to fly the Stinson? When she is a teenager?
  18. Yes Alexis they would have had, but we are talking generally about all types of float planes, military or civilian as I have flown in, in Alaska.
  19. Superb! Just as I saw on the tracks in the day.
  20. As I've now finished the Ogre Fantasy F1 car, I start on a rally car, a Hasegawa Lancia 037..
