Thanks guys, yes these are good but we didn't see the first ones here in the UK, perhaps they were seen as too 'Way Out'!

To add to 2 others I've built, I've added one where the owner has yet to decide the body colour, so no 'Glitter' yet for this bug. The owner driver has added 'Hellaflush' side decals so far but as he has finished his previous one we thought as an old British saying is, when you've done well, 'Give the Man a Cigar' so I did! Now with his previous ones. You can tell straight away which one he uses on the beach and the yellow one his daily driver.

Well Anthony (my middle name) Thanks for the comments. We don't see these AMT kits here in the UK very often, so I bought this as soon as it popped up on ebay UK. The 3D rack was from Shapeways the 3D printers site. In raw soft plastic. Painted with the sprue struts removed to fit it to the roof.

Similar to the ones we've seen in Australia.

Superb! Stance, Rack, Colour and bike, all superb!

Just finished! Changed the wheels/tyres, sprayed with 3 can colours at the same time, added 'Flower Power' decals, and loaded 3D rack with two scratchbuilt Boogie Boards, Cola Cooler, ice box for food and stretch netting.

Nearly done, just a few other things to do...

Just working on this combo. This is the painted roof rack And the test fit to my latest project, the legs on the rack are quite pliable so it sits nicely onto the rain guttering each side of the roof.

Two sports cars outside our local Subway, The latest top of the range Aston Martin Vanquish and one of these.. The new brand (well changed from Renault) Alpine. Both cars parked side by side and both drivers and passengers with a Subway meal. OK but the only places open at the time! Yes Covid-19 lockdown and the Fish and Chip Shop closed next door as it was a Sunday!

This I bought through Shapeways, produced by Kingtoys. This is my first, and hopefully not my last attempt at painting a one piece 3D model in 1/24. Do the same as any kit, wash first in hot soapy water and air dry. As these are reasonably soft plastic, acrylic paints are needed. A good undercoat/basecoat. I painted mine with a brush, firstly with a bright yellow gloss, but it dried so quickly it looked rough. The engine/gearbox, seat handlebar grips and tyres are matt black and the rest of the body gloss black. I put Molotow chrome on the exhaust and wheels and as an undercoat for the rear shock and brake light in clear red acrylic. I have two more projects from Shapeways also in 1/24, a tuned VW aircooled engine and a VW Van/Bus/Camper roofrack.
