  1. That's been my experience with most of the "old tool" Revell kits I had from the mid 80's to early 90's.Skip's Fiesta Beetle x2, Street Machine Beetle x2, California Roller VW van, Gypsy Dune Buggy, 57 Chevy x2.
  2. I had a generic one, I think it was MPC. In the early 80's I know Monogram did some that all used the same chassis. I had a Pepsi Challenge firebird and Budweiser King Ford something or other... Monogram also did a Dodge Duster, Rip-Offff. Had lil' wings that were on the side of the 1/4 panel. Not sure if the chassis from that one was used elsewhere.
  3. Yeah, I mentioned that awhile ago. ;-)
  4. Whether this is a street machine, or off-road buggy, nearly any 1/32 scale wheels should look appropriate. Neat buggy, btw. Never seen one in that scale. Looks like a Bugle: http://www.dunebuggyarchives.com/decision-tree/BuggyId/?pointId-19=on
  5. I don't care for the "repurposed" garbage used on cars. A few examples are ok, but some go overboard and build a car out of trash. The ones I like are generally jsut rusty/ rough around the edges/ unpainted hot rods or street machines. Not the rolling garbage-deathtraps.
  6. The Revell VW kits are all pretty rough around the edges. They can look good, but you definitely have your work cut out for you.
  7. Nice looking kit. It looks like other than the hood, you could build a Cedric from the included parts!
  8. Is this the Monogram kit? I had the 3-n-1 Warbird kit. It's a great kit and you did a fantastic job!
  9. Nice group of often shunned classics!
  10. That looks great! Sex on wheels!
  11. I've seen the AMT kit on ebay. The prices for all of them are out of hand. I once found a lot that had two of Revell Toyota gluebombs in it (one blue, and one red), but the bidding went over $35 and I lost on it. probably would've wnet to $40, but that's all I had in paypal.I'd really like to get the blue Toyota with the camper shell, as it's the first model I remember getting. (may not be the first, but the first one I remember) I was probably about 6 and my dad painted it for me.
  12. Even though they are snap-kits, I'd like to see the Revell '78-ish Toyota 4x4, prefereably with the camper shell. Also the Monogram '83-ish Datsun-Nissan 4x4.
  13. I'll answer to either one, as I've been using Zarana/Zarana-X for about 14 years.
  14. Was sad to hear this. Odd that they just used "Perfect Day" in the upcopming Playstation commercial. Joey Ramone, before he died, said he felt better knowing he helped change the world, and music, over becoming a celebrity multi-millionaire. I think the same would apply to Lou Reed.
  15. Excellent work! I don't wander into the truck section often. As a fan of the genre, and VWs, I like this alot. You should consider adding this to the community build project: http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=52127&page=1
  16. I thinks some of the older funeral coaches were tall with big windows because they had public processions for political figures or celebrities. The big windows had the option of an open casket, and everyone could see in clearly. Oh, and looking good!
  17. Great work, Tory. Your Zombietle is awesome. Looks like it could be a production kit, the fender flares and armor fit perfect. The chainsaws are scratchbuilt? Awesome!
  18. Welcome, Ritchie Cunningham! Look forward to seeing more work. The Zombietle is impressive.
  19. That is some beautiful work. What is the chrome strip on the decklid, though?
  20. I'm not a Corvette expert, but that picture makes me feel drunk.
  21. Impressive work. Good work putting the junkyard to use. (incidentally, the first time I saw a 968, I thought it was a 944 with a body kit...)
  22. That looks Fantastic! Could pass as a 1:1 from the photos!
  23. Looks great. What do you plan to use for a pan & engine? I don't know of any production Type 3 models, unless you used one from a die-cast. The Lil' Van has a Type 3 engine, but the fan shroud is wonky. Hmm. kinda looks like a shortened T3 pan also
  24. This came out awesome! I'm speechless.
  25. Haven't worked on anythign new lately. Just some Dreadnok Customs. Maybe after I recover from this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rpVBMdKGUcg http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZRjsFWPFeBo
